I'll be in Seattle next Thursday,8/5, for an interview and I'll have time to play one course before flying back to Phila. I've read some reviews, but just would like current advice from locals. Also, let me know if you want to meet up after noon to be a guide and play a round. thanks

So long as you're somewhat experienced, Seatac is the course, hands down. Just 5 minutes from the airport too!

I agree! Seatac is the one.
Of course, if you only have time for one round, you should know that one round as Seatac takes a bit longer than an average round.

thanks guys. just wondering what makes seatac better than lakewood? it seems to have a lot of flat straight shots, whereas lakewood seems to have some more turns and elevation changes. I'm not a pdga member and do not play tournaments so I don't know my rating, but I've been playing for five years and am pretty confident in my skills. besides, what inexperienced player would drag his bag of discs 3000 miles across country to play a course?

Seatac will provide a better test of your skills. Longer, tighter fairways, and longer. And the fairways are tighter.
Lakewood is a great course, too. Very beautiful, with some really fun shots. It's only about 5-10 minutes away, so hopefully you'll have time to play both.

Yes, but are the fairways tight? And long?

Pretty much what Scott said. Seatac is much flatter than Lakewood, but much more challenging. It requires a lot of true golf shots, shooting for placement rather than all out distance. And also, even though it's an urban course with jets flying overhead, it feels a lot more "removed" than a lot of the courses around--you can't see people's houses and such on most of the holes. The first time I played Seatac, it was one of those "I don't want this course to end!" experiences. (Note that I didn't even try to keep score.)
Lakewood is also a great course, far more forgiving. But it also tends to be more crowded, and has lots of fences and OBs to watch out for. I almost always like to play both courses, either using Lakewood as a warm up round, or a post Seatac feelgood round.

Please dont be alarmed by the F-18's flying directly overhead when you are here on Thursday, this is Seafair weekend in Seattle, and the Blue Angels will be flying a practice run over downtown and Lake Washington.
So dont worry, its not a plane hijacking, and enjoy your round. :)
