Hope to see you there! We are also hosting a fun event...Discraft Ace Race on 8/7/2010 which is the day before this one...$25 entry fee and you get a player pack valued at $67

There may have been 1 sanctioned event prior to this one but it's only a rumor...We are traveling 2,277.2 miles to host these events and can't wait to see everyone!

Out of curiosity, what setup is the tourney going to use for holes 17 and 18? Hole 17 is easy enough to just mark out on the hill next to the blocked-off area, but using the hole 2 teepad backwards for 18's teepad may not be a great solution for a tourney..

Also.. I hope to see you there Dr. Zaius! This will be my first sanctioned tourney ;)

I have never played the course but my first lap will be the morning of Thursday, August 5th, 2010. I have an appointment with a Cottage Grove Local & Strange Disc Sports affiliate, Casey, and we are going to play the course and evaluate the situation and make a decision that day. That Thursday, we will be setting up the course for Saturday's Discraft Ace Race & Sunday's Strange Disc Tour event.

All are welcome to come out Thursday afternoon & Friday all-day to practice the course and kick it with some fellow Strangers.

Look forward to seeing you jeverett! You can register online here: http://www.strangediscsports.com/product-p/1cottagegroveopen.htm

super fun tourney ran by some really nice folks. devin cordell, congrats on your first sanctioned win. jessie everett, congrats on yours as well! anthony salee, how many birdies did you have? he took a ten on an island hole and still shot way under par.

oh, and of course, andrew rich had to hit a crazy skip ace on hole one IN HIS FLIP FLOPS to take home the ace pot. that was pretty sweet.

thanks guys!

Thanks Dr. Zaius! It was a good time, although that island hole obliterated me both rounds. :P Ending +10 after two rounds with +8 of those coming from one hole was painful :P I think between everyone there, we must have raised the total throw count by upwards of 100 throws on that one hole. *hehe* Anyway, I'm looking forward to more tourneys now! :D Are you playing the Eugene Celebration and/or the Willamette Open?

I've played The Grove, Sam, and there are no birdies there for you. In fact, you'll probably lose about 3 or 4 discs.
