Tuesday 12/30: Dabney at high noon?

I am On Call for work today, so I can't carpool with anyone, but I want to play some DG. My first choice would be Milo, but I can't confirm if the if the course is open yet. Yesterday's outing at Timber showed I really need to practice Timber, especially for TDG, but I played there all day yesterday, since Milo was closed, and that's enough Timber for me for now.

Courses like Hagg, Cascades, Horning's, Rooster, N Bonneville, and Trojan are not good for me to play while On Call - either too far or not good enough cell coverage. And that covers all 18-hole public basket courses within 50 miles of my house, so that's why I picked Dabney!

Understand that I might have to leave at any time during the round, but if you would still like to play under those conditions, let's meet!

FYI, the drive time to Rooster and Dabney are almost identical.

Thanks for that, map man! I often suspected that exit 18 to exit 25 (7 minutes) is about the same as exit 18 to Dabney (at half the speed).

How is the cell phone coverage at Rooster (work phone: Cingular, home phone: Verizon)?

PS: No responses yet, and some work calls came in, so my departure may be delayed about 30 minutes. Maybe Rooster afterward?

Most of the Gorge has excellent cell coverage because there's an Interstate highway there. (The only exception I've found is the curvy part of SR-14 between Washougal and North Bonneville.)

Thanks. "Back in the day" my phone (Motorola Brick on Cellular One, IIRC) would quit working all the way from about Corbett to Hood River. Of course, I have been using a cell phone for probably 15 years now, and they've built a few more towers since then....
