I was out at the Adair course practicing my drives and while picking up my discs I noticed the phenomenally smooth pavement of the new parking lot and thought "WOW that would make a great surface to drive from!". I neglected to consider the shoes I was wearing, track shoes in fact, the soles of which are also phenomenally smooth (like the parking lot) and also very hard (again, like the parking lot). Perfect for driving from the appropriate Driving Pad which apparently is the same type of material as your typical running track, not so perfect for a paved parking lot, apparently. I whang a disc out there extra hard since I was driving into a slight cross wind, my feet go in some crazy direction I can't recall. Saying they went in 'some direction' is assuming they went in the same direction which I doubt. As I came down on both hands, my left elbow emits an audible 'pop'. I have broken a lot of bones and torn several different parts of several different joints and the sensation that followed can only vaguely be put into words using the term "You're screwed". And I skinned up my knee. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/images/smilies/facepalm.gif

Lee Marvin's character in The Big Red One says, as he's tossing aside a soldier's destroyed testicle to the soldier's obvious horror, "It's just one of your balls, sonny, that's why God gave you two of them."
Throw with the unbroken arm, you cannot afford to lose more time away from the perfect game!
BTW, I played Adair for the first time last week, the course and the local I met were fantastic!
Heal, keep hukking!

Oh I plan on it!
Remember the old movie 'Major Pain'? The soldier hurts his leg and is laying there "OHH MY LEG! MY LEG! MAKE IT STOP!!!", Major Pain grabs the guy's finger, breaks it and the guy continues laying there "OHHH MY FINGER!! MY FINGER!" Maj. Pain is like "Works every time." HAHA!!

Played again today, continued working on my drive. Everything is still functioning and my drive is still longer than it was at the start of the session which ended with a broken elbow! I drove almost all the way to the pin on hole 4 of Willamette! I'm excited!
