Looks like Washington is being represented pretty well so far. From a first glance I saw Brandon Parsons and Jeremy Craig doing well in Adv, Josh Morris almost on top in <19, and Paul Wright is only a few strokes off the lead (but beating Mark Hauser, at least) in GrandDaddies. Who did I miss?

Ya yesterday was real bad. Then today I woke up late and missed my first hole, but came back with a 63 on a par 60 course. But other then me everyone from Washington is doing real good.

Yeah, sometimes you actually have to navigate to the PDGA website yourself.
Paul Wright is in position, I predict a World title for him. Brandon and Neville continue to climb.
BigArmB, even if you can't overtake Ender Wiggins, I'll still consider you a world champ if you bring home the silver. It's totally not fair- David Jr. should be playing in the <19 boys division. :wink2:

Here's a concept: refer to all the web pages you want to in your posts, but if you don't hyperlink to what you're referring to, I just ignore your post and move on.....

That's a pet peeve of mine too.
Interesting side note, I don't know what's more unbelievable, that L'il Wiggins is crushing so hard, or that he's actually not the highest rated player there.

There's a Japanese kid who is in the under 13 group that has a 982 rating. He's in 3rd right now.
982 rated 13 year old? WTF?
Gawain, here is the link to it....

I post links when I think it is appropriate, and feel it may take an unnecessary amount of time to self-navigate to.
The PDGA Events Schedule & Results page? http://www.pdga.com/tour-schedule The one where everybody is always checking every 5 seconds and yelling at the TDs to update? That requires a link? Gotta be sheiting me. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sheit
I see Trey Williams is also shooting hot. http://www.pdga.com/player-stats?PDGANum=38082&year=2010 I have one of discs right now, soon to put a Gate City Rollergirls logo on it. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Greensboro-Roller-Derby/293891716929

Corvallis' own Dr. Bob Burton appears to be cruising to an easy win in Adv. Legends, really just a warm up before he wins the Pro Legend title in a month though. Wonder if anyone has won an Am and a Pro title in the same year...
GO BOB!

Cody Kirkland, 1016 rating, finished 16th in OPEN at the 2010 BSF! Has tournament stats going back to 2005. Has played some events in Open since 2006. Won the 2010 Memorial. Woah. Crazy kids!

Awesome job Dr. Burton! Doesn't one have to be a PDGA registered PRO to play PRO Worlds? The reason why I ask is because I was wanting to play the 2011 Pro Worlds because it's in Santa Cruz, my hometown, and I looked and what I took from it was that entrants have to be registered with PRO status with the PDGA to play a Pro Worlds.

Damn, it's crowded at the top of the GM1. Keep slugging away, Paul!

I predicted, in another thread, that Wiggins would shoot 1030 rated rounds and win by 20 strokes...well he's shot 1020 average rounds and he's up by like 27 strokes or something like that...

Dude you're huge!!! That's awesome. Let me know if you get any good scrip that will look good with some dye.
I hope someone puts together a decent vid of the semis/final 9. I would assume so, since Ender probably draws a crowd with cameras. It will be interesting to watch the battle for 2nd.

Thanks to everyone for their support..it was an awesome time.
A huge congrats to Brandon! This is how it went down, Brandon needed a great semi-final round to get from 5th to a tie for 4th, he did it. Then he needed to win a playoff to get into the final nine, he did it. Then he needed to shoot lights out to move from 4th to 2nd, he did it!! I am telling you it was some of the best golf I have ever seen. wow.
I was fortunate to watch Jeremy Craig and Jason VanProyen play during the week and they represented very well. I did not get to watch Jordan Craig play this week, but I think we will be watching him for a long time. Josh Morris also was another NW golfer that took home some 4th place hardware that was very sweet. Chris Fabry took 11th in the Advanced Masters division with more solid NW golf. Steve Mawdsley that beat me for the grandmasters title is a west coast golfer as well. He is west coast of Canada way north on Cortez Island. He is a super guy and a worthy champion. I have also played with Bob Burton from Oregon that won the Legends division and he looks like he could dominate the Legends division for a long time, and he is as nice a person as you could ever meet, congrats Bob.
If you love this sport you would really love a worlds experience, start saving it is worth the trip.

I just wanted to take a second and reflect on the week we spent at AM Worlds in Marion, Ohio. It was a great change of scenery to be at a Major Event as a spectator.
Oregon's own Cody Cornett invited me to caddy for him and I quickly jumped at the opportunity. He played very solid all weekend and finished 22nd despite some hiccups (some due to 'questionable' fairways and pin locations).
Watching each players different style clash on the courses was a great tool in auditing my own game. Shot Selection Errors, Disgruntled Reactions, Emotional Roller Coasters, and Sheer Elation were prevalent all weekend. Watching the great highs and deep lows throughout the rounds put things in perspective for me.
Allowing your emotions to explode over a great shot can be a boost of adrenaline for your round....
On the other hand, a recession of disappointment after an errant shot can 'spiral effect' things out of control. I watched a lot of great up and coming players cloud their own judgments and make rash decisions.
Striving to keep your emotions on an even keel will not only help you shoot lower scores.....But will keep you calm throughout whatever may get thrown back at you.....
These are just some of my thoughts and reflections as I sit in the pouring rain.........Waiting for a break in the weather to go check out the Alternate West Course at The Brent Hambrick Memorial Disc Golf Course.
