Has anyone else tried this yet?

This just popped up on WiiWare so I decided to drop ten bucks and download it. Cute game and worth the sawbuck but lacking in some respects.

It's a disc golf game for the Wii and, as you may have guessed, it not only takes place in a zoo, but the four (yes, only four) different players to chose from are zoo animals (panda, kangaroo, meerkat and rockhopper penguin). The game is very restrictive, from a disc golf point of view, since there is only one course, one disc, and one throw(BH) for all players:yawn:. Still, there are a couple of things that make this game interesting and fun to play.

First of all, the physical dynamics of how you hold the disc in relationship to how you hold the Wii controller are right on the money. You really have to keep a good wrist position all the way through the throw and the game will punish you for a late release, bad mung angle and such--it really makes you pay attention to your form.

The other thing is that the course very much represents the Japanese interpretation of disc golf. Most of the holes are very short, very technical and have tight out of bounds, yet some holes are completely enclosed with netting which is legal to play off of. Plus, if you land on top of the basket, it counts.

One other detractor, however, is the physics of the disc as it comes in contact with the basket: very clunky and the sound effect sounds like your throwing a wooden disc into heavy plastic chains, in slow motion.

Of course, my six-year-old is already better at it than I am...
