We've done courses and lots of folks meet and saw the world's best at BSF this weekend.
Which five pro's are your favorites? Why?
Kick off with- but not in order after #1. I guess everyone else still comes second.
1. Ken Climo
Sure he's the world's best so it's an easy pick. But we also went to HS in cities that are connected and I've played weekly doubles with him in Clearwater when I visited my GPs and, again, there is no one better in the history of the game. And he's a nice, humble guy.
2. Nate Sexton (etal)
I just get a kick out of the whole Sexton DG clan and how well they play the game. And there's that nice thing again. (If Colin had the higher rating I'd give him the nod.)
3. Bruce Sisson and Andrew Rich
Watching those two at Westmoreland in Eugene while learning the game made we want to play better. (Alas, wanting is not enough.)
4. Paul U.
Based on no more than on a single round with him at the Cross Canyon Challenge in Brooksville, FL a few years ago when he was still a MA1 player. I knew he was gonna reach near or to the top, he seemed nice and he has a cool last name (which I am not trying to spell without looking it up.) On our first drives of the tourney I put mine 15 ft from the pin, his was 40ish- I missed mine, he made his.
5. MANY OTHER OREGON PROS
I always wish Mike S, Skelly, Lane, Tyler, all OR pros over 40 and most of the other 60+ male pros , as well as Melody King, Rachel Benton and Toni Hoyman to do well in every tourney they play. (I like cheering for the local heroes. The better I know them, in most cases, and the closer they live to the metro area, the more I hope they do well.)
There are so many World Champions and potential champs from Oregon it's easy to pick Oregonians for your list.:cheerleader:
