for a trophy, i am trying to mount a champion katana onto a wooden plaque. How is the best way to do this and make it LOOK NEAT and professional?

Any ideas anyone

My 2007 ORS plaque has the disc mounted with 4 brass brads, nailed into the plaque. evenly spaced around the disc, tightly against the disc (but not through it). I think it looks great, but maybe that's because of the "1" on it!

They also look good with a 2008 "2"

Gently, after a soft kiss on the crease between her rim and her flightplate...

Silicone glue sticks a lot of things. Test it to see if it sticks well enough to the disc. You could also use L hooks, those little screw-in L shaped hooks that can be used for cup hangers, etc. Then you could make them pretty tight to the disc and twist them 180 degrees to remove the disc.
You could also use sheet metal screws from the back side of the plaque into the rim. Just make sure that the screws don't go through...
