I was given a really neat thing to raffle of for this tourney! I pretty sure something like this has never been raffled off at a disc golf tourney ever. You have to come to see what it is. PS it is worth about 250 bucks

Thanks a ton to all the people who helped Brant and I make this happen.
A big thanks to Mike Suchocki for donating the sweet trophies.
Kevin Owens who generously donated 10 new Latitude 64 discs for ctp's and raffle prizes.
Jeff Hagerty and Eric Juarez both donated a few shirts each to the raffle. We had a handful of other people who donated discs to ctp's and the raffle. I know I'm forgetting a lot of people.
Dion Arlyn got an ace on hole #4
Congrats to all the winners. :trophy:
The results are uploaded to the PDGA site.

Excellent work this weekend gentleman. This tournament was very smoothly run, great team work from the folks in charge! River festival was a blast, getting to crush over the water with a buzzz was neat :)
Thanks to Broday, Nate and Tyler for pushing me the whole time and making me earn it.
Aced hole 4, that was fun. My third tournament ace at Whistlers, (GNO hole 2, Umpqua Valley hole 9). 7th tournament ace overall.
What can I say? Whistlers is a blast any way you slice it. Thanks guys for making this happen!

I'll echo Dion's sentiments though no one let me crush a Buzzz across the river....
Who am I kidding? I had a buzz on the river... and by the river... and up the hill from the river...
Seriously, though... great tournament. Well run. On time. Informative about straight lines that have no thickness even though they run through the middle of my discs. Good stuff and I will definitely be back for more.

I'll add to the chorus 'thank-yous' and 'job well done.'
I think the combination of the DG and river festival made for a great atmosphere.
And the 13A hole was well designed and challenging. (Hole 19 would have been more fun if I had done a better job sailing my plastic down that alley.)
It was great to see the southern Oregon DG community put on this well-run event and provide a bit more PDGA exposure to folks who don't get many chances to play sanctioned events without traveling a long ways.
Looking forward to next year (and by then I should have all those little burrs picked out of my socks!)
Thanks to the TDs and the small army of people who ran check-in, checked score cards, posted scores, filled out score cards, and kept the system running smoothly. A lot of us appreciate how demanding it can be.

Man, those scores went up fast! Thanks to Brant, Devin, Sarah, Josh and all others who made this tourney smooth and creamy...like buttah.
Hole 13a was a nice addition, such a unique disc golf hole.
I had a great time being the first place donater in open...your welcome fellas.
Looking forward to next year... I wonder what wacky raffle prizes we will have next year?

Words could never explain how proud I am of those youngsters for running such a great show at Whistlers!
Most peeps prolly never would've guessed it was their first gig, as those feller's acted like they'd been doing it forever.
Thank you Devin.

Man what a great weekend that was!!! Thanks a ton to Devin for being a great co TD!!! Thanks a lot to everyone who helped with making it easier on Devin and I. Almost a prefect weekend, I only would like to apologize to ray for what happened to him Saturday night, some people are just low down pieces of $#!*. I don't even understand why a person would come all they way from Portland to act that way, and say some of the things he did. Other then that it is a awesome weekend!

July 22nd, 2010, 08:45 PM
no, there was no drama on my side of the fence! I did nothing to deserve that crap. I did nothing to deserve what was said to me after it happened either! But that is behind us now, and I apologize for getting a little (maybe a lot) worked up about it. It was still a classless act that has taught me a valuable lesson, don't play poker and drink!
