By being the only one in his group, I suppose. But it's odd that he could miss a round and not be DQ'd, isn't it?

I didn't realize there was such a thing as Advanced Legends. I thought it was pro only.

I'll bet money that his division was scheduled to only play three rounds and that's what he did.

That might be it. The Pro Legends took that round off as well.

Legends played only one round per day. Advanced Legends was added this year. Also, there's a Legends 75+ subdivision of Legends at Pro Worlds this year.

Jeff, take a look at Donald Dillon's 1st round score. (Please note I'm talking about Pro Legend, NOT Adv Legend).

There were 2 participants in the Pro Legend division. One shot 999 the first round (i.e. skipped the entire round) and the other shot a 73. After that, they each shot the 2nd and 4th round (took the 3rd round off). My point is that the 2nd place guy only played 2 of the 3 rounds and took home cash. IMO, you are DNF if you miss an entire round & thus not eligible for cash.

I heard back from the rules committee, evidently you can DNF and take cash. I did point out that the score of 999 was technically incorrect if the player completed the tourney (it should be par+4 for each hole for the 1st round).

The 999 is used so the round doesn't accidentally get rated when the TD report is processed. Not that it would technically matter since the low rating would get dropped from a player's rating.
