The government has just announced that the Internet will be shut down to browsing for the next few days, with exception that members of the bin Laden and Saudi royal families will be allowed to download any of their own personal bytes back to Saudi Arabia through Comcast's and HughsNet's routers.

More clarification, please. What exactly does this mean?
I'm curious, because I was just about to purchase a domain and hosting through godaddy. Now I'm curious about how secure it might be.

Fidelity is in the preconceived notions of the beholder.
Ten years ago, on my census form, after "Race," I checked, "Other," and added, "One never knows, do one?"

I have no idea, all i know is I went to check something on the site and bam ugly hacking stuff all over the place. Contacted my webmaster and he said it appears that some arabian hackers poached the DNS... still waiting for godaddy to reply to our email... why they would hack a deaf disc golf website, i have no idea...

It probably means they simply guessed the password to the GoDaddy account (using brute-force random attempts), then altered the DNS settings of the domain name to point to the hackers' server (or rather, another server they'd hacked) instead of wherever the site is normally hosted. I would guess that the actual ODDGA server has been untouched.
