At the 3PO I got this disc in the raffle.
The top says DGA SP Line Reef.
It's clear, crystal-like, blue.
On the bottom it says APX by Discraft.
I wanted to look up it's specs and durability but can't find anything about it.
There is mention of a fundraiser SP Line Reef on the web, but I can't find this disc. Anyone know anything regarding this disc. Is it a Reef AND an APX?

I believe if I remember correctly that the Reef is made from the same mold as the APX and Discraft presses DGA molds so that would be the logical answer. The illogical answer would be George Bush Jr.
Look at the DGA site and see if the Reef is made from the APX. They usually mention something about it.

Yes. They are indeed the same exact disc. If your wanting to know about its durability, its going to hold up a long time. The only difference I have found between my Sparkle APX/Reef and my Soft X APX's is that the Sparkle APX from DGA is a little more overstable. You can throw it a little harder, for short holes or long approaches, and it won't flip and it will finish a little.
The Sparkle APX's are really nice and theres only a limited number of them so enjoy yours!

Nathan-
Can you compare them to the Champion Aviar in terms of stability. Mine's 5-6 years old, but as compared to a new one?

I wish I could but I've never thrown an aviar. Sorry.
