Hey Everyone,

I've had a lot of requests to do a clinic lately, so I think the weekend of may 1st and 2nd would be ideal. As far as I can tell, there is very little happening around the state on that weekend.

I've already sent in for a C tier on that sunday (BSF Fundraiser / WO Qualifier), what I need to know now is how many folks would be interested in a clinic on that saturday?

Here is a rough outline of what would be planned:

Four Sessions:

Distance in Driving – Instructed by Dion Arlyn
Achieve greater distance off the tee, without sacrificing accuracy. From basic footwork to the advance 360 technique, US Distance Qualifier Dion Arlyn will show you how to crush it off the tee!

Sidearm – Instructed by Nate Sexton
Master the art of the opposite spin with renowned local pro Nate Sexton! Often the most under developed part of any amateur’s game, learn from the game’s best!

Approaches – Instructed by Colin Sexton
Shave strokes off your rounds by putting the disc next to the pin from anywhere in the fairway or from the rough! Learn both backhand and forehand approach and situational escapes from upshot artist, Colin Sexton.

Putting – Instructed by Kirk McAllister
The most important part of the game, putting the disc in the chains! Local pro and putting phenom Kirk McAllister shows you why every putt is an opportunity to hole-out!

Schedule:

7 am – 8 am Check In
8 am – 8:30 am Participant Meeting
9 am – 9:50 am Session 1
10 am – 10:50 am Session 2
11 am – 11:50 am Session 3
12 pm – 1 pm Lunch (Provided)
1 pm – 1:50 pm Session 4
2 pm – 3 pm Casual Play, Open Questions with Instructors, Disc Swap
3 pm – 4 pm Putting, Approach and Driving Contests!
4:30 pm Closing and Awards

Cost: $45.00
Includes: Instruction from qualified professionals
Lunch (Sandwich, Chips and Drink)
2 Discs of Choice (One Innova, One Discraft)

So, would at least 25 people sign up for this? Thats about how many it would take for this to work.

If the answer is no, I think we will use that day for some Triples!

Thoughts?

It would be at Adair, where I do most of my events. Simply because its a great course and gets very little interference from non-disc golf activity. Its sooo easy to operate a tourney at Adair, every other course (besides maybe Cottage Grove, that was easy too...) gets a ton of traffic and general use that makes it a bit more stressful for the TD.

How about the price? Does $45 sound fair for a day of instruction and discs? 2 in the players packs, probably at least one more for everyone through prizes and such.

That sounds awesome. I'd go if I'm free.

Hell, I'm thinking about driving down there from spokompton to go to that. Would definitely be worth it for me.

That's a very reasonable price.

Ron ... you would be received very well up in Seattle if you had one of these clinics! That sounds great! Good on you for doing this (along with those Sexton bros).

If you follow lessons 1-4 you won't need session 5.

i'd be there if i wasnt 600 miles away playing the masters cup... Everything else in my game is coming together except for distance, which seems to be getting shorter and shorter... put it on and people will come...

I think my husband would be very interested. The only negative is the date. We have other plans, and will have to negotiate to see if it can work. Maybe.

OK, seems like I have some good interest for this event, however, I'd like to plan ahead a bit better for it. So no Am clinic on May 1st. We will be holding three headed monster on that date instead. see Events section for more details...

If you get anywhere close to Southern Oregon to teach let me know. I would love to take part in something like this. 30-925-2154
