that's a great picture. the most snow i've played in is about 18 inches. that was a few years ago in a winter with a lot of snow. this year we only had about 6 inches for a few weeks, it was very mild.

To be fair, that picture was posted in December... in Russia.

It might be a communist basket then.
No leg to stand on.

looks like somebody lost a wagon wheel and whoever found it figured they'd be chaining out soon.

At least you could still play that basket if you were hardcore and had snowshoes. I wish I had the pics of Corbin when we got all the snow and rain. Basket 1 was buried under water. Basket 11 was buried in water and the landing area for 10 was like 8 in circumference. Made throwing some of those holes ridiculous. Good news was tee pad 2 was in dire need of stabilization and when the floods destroyed the rest of the base, it got fixed. Who says mother nature is vindictive?

Spent a number of years in Minneapols/St. Paul and snowy, winter rounds were exquisite. Colder the better.
Even your most stable plastic would flip in the dense air (total opposite of mountain golf). And you learned to read the surface of the snow to find your plastic. (Orange/red discs only). If you could you walked in other people's footsteps to keep the snow surface pristine and readable. Approach shots were sometimes thrown UD so they'd land on the plate and slide up to the pin.
On the other hand, warm & sunny isn't too bad either.

I do that sometimes when there isn't snow and it still works.
