Is this the same course that will be played for the BSF? I've never played either event and would love to get a sneak peek. Thing is I live in Bend.

With online, mail in and hand delivered registrations, I bet it's fuller than that...
and I predict it will definitely be full 6 hours after the BSF fills.
Play MM1 Sam. It will be one of my only chances to beat you in a sanctioned event now that you are an old man.
If you play well enough I'll let you be on my card.

If you don't buy in to the ace pot you will probably hit two aces.
No joke, that happened last year!

I figured I only needed to check with you regarding the BSF. Your only the defending champ there!
(And without the same great caddie available here, you may have some work to do!)
Besides, this isn't about 54 whimpy holes of golf. It's about the marathon of 72 holes of golf. Last MM1 standing wins.
More golf than the BSF for less money.
And wait until Mike posts the long list of sponsors he has! And 3somes with no ghost groups at Milo!!!!!! I bet the players packs and trophies will be good as well.
I'm signing up today for this sure-to-be great event!

The M3PO Advanced Am pool is full. To get on the waiting list send me an e-mail at zuglass@comcast.net
If you are a PRO and want to play, send me an e-mail. Maybe with a longer list we can draw in some more out of towner's and fill it.
Players packs are a t-shirt with sponsors of $50 cash or $100 in merch and a glass mini
Script will be taken by ZU Glass, Huk-lab, maybe stumptown, Pure Disc Golf
Trophies will be glass baskets by ZU Glass
One of the goals of this tourney is to raise money for the BSF. I have charged $3 per person for the BSF. I would like to raise at least $1000. To do this I will need most people to buy $10 in raffle tickets. some won't so hopefully some of you can spend more, like $20. All raffle money will go to the Beaver State Fling. I tried not to solicit people and businesses that are involved with the fling. With the cash sponsorship I got, all the bills should be covered. Pay outs will be greater than 100%. Here is a list of sponsors up to edit date. Please find one that is on your route and spend some money. Mentioning that you are a disc golfer or in for a tourney will make them aware that we do support our sponsors.

Here is my plan for the course layout. I have designed 3 new tee pads on temporary holes to be used Sunday only. 18W I dug a line in the ground 102 feet closer, centered in the fairway. 11E I dug a line in the ground in the typical landing zone of drives from the normal tee. 17E I painted a line about 200 ft right of the normal tee. Hole 4E will have a mandatory tree, players must shoot left of it.
There is a printable chart available at the tree love calendar.

As the LOWEST rated player in the elder am division, I'm looking at any finish over DFL as a win over a better player. Watch out all you MM1s, I only have one way to move--- UP.
And if I can beat pros (little "p") like Hemmerling, Stan and Stu... and soon to be pros like Mr. Dooley, then I'm going to talk smack way over my 897 rating!

I enjoyed this tournament. First round the wind was crazy, not really because it was just howling, more so because it changed directions every 5 seconds (no kidding).
We started on time every round. Rounds were fairly quick, and no major back ups. Trophies were really cool. Ring of fire and raffle were pretty fun. And awards were quick and too the point.
This was my first tournament playing in MA1 and it really helped me. If you are contemplating on moving up a division albeit to Pro or MA1, just do it and don't look back, your game will thank you.
Team White River took 1, 2, an 15 in Advanced. Took first in Open Masters. And took fourth in Open.

I would like to thank myself for shooting scores significantly higher than the winners in my division. If it wasn't for guys like me winners wouldn't have anyone to beat.
oh, and mad props go out to ZUHOCKI, all the volunteers, SJ for stepping in and scoring for the folks that were brave enough to quit when they should have, and for all the volunteers that have been out working on the course. It is pristine!
I was so enthralled with the beauty of the course on Sunday, I forgot to chunder and threw my PB on both courses.
Thanks for giving Kim and I a great weekend of golfing fun and setting us up for all the restless nights between here and the Fling.
Is it too early to ask if the Fling is starting yet?

I just got a delayed reaction to the four rounds.
I'm sore right now.
But, I still remember how much fun I had.
Notes;
Look at the Pro Mstr finish. The first eight places are by rating.
72 holes and three divisions are won by one stroke or playoff! There was some good golfing out there.
The course looked BSF ready. The work parties have done a great job.
I had a PB on the West course!
That was a good idea Mike had. I hope that was the inaugural event.

I think he was being literal. On the way out of town the Washington players stopped at select Oregon player's homes and had to clean them. It's the only way we'll let them cross the river to play our world-class courses.

Looking at the stats it doesn't look like Washington "cleaned house". But it was definitely a strong showing especially by team white river way to go.
On a side note - I don't see any Washingtonians in the results that shot 270 or above :biggrin2:

I don't care what state you are from if you shot four rounds like Jon Wills or Mike Werth you are playing some great golf and representing the northwest well when you travel. I hope Jon keeps tearing it up and represents Washington well at worlds. I would just like to see an Amateur winner from the Northwest period!!!!!

What kind of camera you got, right off the bat I can see the ISO is set too low cuz slight movement gets blurred. Also make sure ya using only optical zoom and turn off digital zoom. But the pictures are awesome nevertheless...

It is a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 and the Digital is non-existent. The blurriness is partially my fault and not waiting for auto focus to fully acquire before firing off some shots. I often found myself in some low light conditions and the shutter was open a little longer then I wanted. I just need more time to just play with it and get away from the auto modes.
I will try to get some pictures this weekend at GNO

I got around a hundred shots or so from sunday. Most of the sixty five i can load to an Album are just shots around the parking lot and tourney central. I would have taken more , like those sweet trophy's and awards ceremony, but my camera broke when camo mike stepped up to accept his award, lol. JK, it ran out of juice. Anyway, fabulous tourny, thanks to all who took part, you know who you are(too long of a list otherwise), and thanks to Crist and Ben for holdin me together half way through that first round sunday(brutal morning). Gonna hit this one up next year for sure. Probably the smoothest rounds I've ever played in a tourny, flow wise. Pictures are up for anyone to check out on my personal page or whatever you call it. Sorry, I'm forum illiterate.
