I apparently got a gift certificate for some disc golf digital versatile discs (or DVDs as kids call them these days). It hasn't shown up yet though, so I don't know what I may end up getting. Anybody gotten any recent DG DVDs that they'd recommend?

Not to sway the topic I created but have you seen the gold line stuff from Latitude? I saw it at thelocal disc golf shop the other day and it was so pretty I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw it or hang it on the wall!

I also got a practice basket, but it's a Halex (made in China, really crappy like for the U.S.A.) and will definitely need some modifications... it's flimsy to begin with, and has plastic chains.

My main thrower champ Roc is a #2413 yellow w/black stamp '07 USDGC, 1 of 47. I happen to find one of the other 47, #2437 on ebay a month ago.
My wife and kids gave me that Roc along with three other Champion Rocs! WOOT! :drool:

My best gift was the gift of giving Mr. Arden Lee Carter one of the ROCS! About a week ago he had mentioned never owning a champ Roc. You shoulda seen his face . . . actually, you will be able to. I filmed it :wink2: I'll post once I upload the footage to DiscGolfOregon.com.

For those of you who do not know, Mr. Lee is the artist of the Innova's Viking and Leopard. One of the most caring and coolest people in the world.

If I remember correctly, late in old Pro plastic runs they would throw CE plastic in there as well, so essentially it's a mix of Pro and CE plastic in one disc.

The design is still freaking awesome. Whenever I spin the disc on my finger, it reminded me of the country or state fair where you spin the plate then spray the colors on the spinning plate.

Amen. I'm not a fan of Innova @ all (many posts on this place deal with my dislike for them). I also give them a crap load of credit since they revolutionized the way the game was played with the beveled edged disc.

It's fun to joke around about Ewnova and Discrap but spending your whole time hating the company and talking sh!t bout people that actually enjoy the product is childish.

Still won't throw their discs in a competitive environment. Too unreliable from one disc to the next. Thats why I choose Discraft in the first place. Caus their discs are, on a whole, more reliable out of the box. Which is what I'm looking for.

the Quest AT Rock-It is too under-stable for me. with a soft touch, i feel less confident and get the same results as a well thrown R-Pro Aviar.
