Starting the official week 5 thread. Like Bob said elsewhere, our next match is this weekend, then two weeks off for the holidays.

You just wish you could share me. First of all, you're too jealous to share. Second, like Bob said, nobody wants you to share. ;)
Looking forward to a cold day of golf at Timber with my friend Keith. Go Vikes!

Does TDG have an inclement weather policy? Looks like a chance of freezing rain Friday night/Saturday morning.

...the real question is, when and where will a decision be made concerning bad weather and canceling this weekends event?

I would hate to make the trip to Timber to only find things have been called off.

That being said, I will have no problem making the trip as my vehicle is equipped for snow travel.

If the weather is bad enough, and its determined to be not safe for driving, I wont make my team go. I would rather have a TDG shutout than to risk any of my team members well being.

If you can manage the roads then go play golf, if you can't then stay home. Seems pretty easy to me. :jumpspin:

People come on you chain up or take the bus. Tri-met runs to Estacada couple times a day and i cant believe your letting the TV news scare you like old people. look out snow coming and you better stock up on Bottle water and TP for the bung hole.

I'm going to try to be there for sure... but you are out of your friggin mind if you think I am going to take the bus to Estacada from NE Portland. Snow doesn't scare me in the least... a half an inch of ICE on the roads is another story altogether.

Someone brought some de-icer for last years tourney. Any possibility of
getting something to make the T-pads playable on Saturday if it is icy?
We can play from the dirt otherwise...

Cheers.

Great pictures Trozzle thats the kind of weather Lance and I like to play in. It was about 5 to 6 years ago Lance,Jerry Baily,Mike worth,Herm and I played out at Timber and we had 14 inchs of snow that was a great day. That was the first year i had the cart and it worked great in the snow.

The first year we had team disc golf we played at Dabney in the freezing rain. We had to park outside on the road because the state did not open the gate that year. by the time we finished the first round the whole front side of me was a sheet of ice which help to keep me warm like a second coat. over the 28 years that Lance and I have been playing some of the best days of disc golf have been in the snow or freezing rain. Dont get me wrong I love playing with less layers on but you seem to rember those bad weather days more.

So I hope it is snowing tomorrow and if it is dont throw white plastic.

If it is a blanket of snow covering the ground it doesn't matter what color you throw, they are hard to find under the snow esp the drive. I lost my bright pink disc at Orchard under an inch of snow.

I do have another question regarding todays events. I thought that if a tee pad was unplayable due to ice, or whatever, that play had to begin behind the teepa, not to the side of it. I know I said at the beginning of the round I posted about earlier that the tee shot had to be behind the tee pad since it was unsafe. The same person from the earlier post shot from the side of the pad, while my partner and I shot from behind it. I didnt care, didnt call it, was no biggie to me. whats the ruling on that?

This didnt affect my decisions on the putt thing posted earlier, was just curious

The groups around us decided to tee off from the sides when we saw two people slip and fall on the tee pads when they teed off BEHIND the pads. One guy hit very hard on his left shoulder. For us, this was a safety issue. It's Team Golf, not PDGA. Seeing three people getting injured on slick surfaces, we selected what was the safest for us.

unofficailly of course... on our card we beforehand decided where it was ok to throw from as a group. sometimes it was to the side, sometimes behind, but agreed on for all. trozzel, you were in the right by me. gotta definitively mark your lie and getting angry about being challenged on something only makes you look guilty of being way wrong.

We did the same thing in our group especially after seeing what happened to Will. We pretty much took our drives from the side, but decided beforehand what side, and all took them from the same side.

can someone PLEASE hand 3 c's and a D a loss!!!

Oh Jonesy you want someone else to hand us a loss because you are worried that you won't be able to in our macth at North Bonneville on the 16th. I don't blame you for being worried because we are confident that we are going to hand you the loss.

I need more than "I think we have more points". Show me each of the points scored by your team each event and how I messed up the addition. If I made a mistake, then we'll fix it, but finding the mistake is on you.

The 09-10 Standings file has a tab for each week of the season. If the error is anywhere it will be in that file. If you find something concrete, let me know and I'll fix it.:pirate:

PS I had some time to check that file and the numbers add up. Which week is the number wrong?
Wk 1 - 7.5
Wk 2 - 7
Wk 3 - 2
Wk 4 - 7.5
Wk 5 - 8

Wow, what I match. I was WRONG!
I think this is my fourth season and I don't ever remember a match coming down to a tie. I guess with this new win/loss record things have changed.
:slapface::slapface:
Our seventh man is really helping out this season!! :pullhair::pullhair:

 It was fun playing Vapor Trails! :cool2:

I want to give a shot out to our newest member of Darkhorse Erika Best. She was our MVP last week taking down the team captain of Green Bowl Packers not once but twice heheh.

Not only that, but she shot lower than some of the other adv. girls that day with a 67 (+10). Ya'll better look out cause this girl is climbing up the ranks fast. So I just wanted to take a moment to publically announce that Erika you kick ass baby, and not because you are my little snuggalotopuss lol.

The rankings are not by points, they are by won/lost record.

Yeah but since both Big Winds and Putt This! are 4-1 it does go down to total match points to decide 1st from 2nd at this point in the season...and PT! has a 2.5 match point lead at the moment.

I think Brandons confusion stems from week three at Milo. Points were not correct for a few days he may have been refering:cool2: to what he saw a few weeks ago. I'll straighten him out! Points are correct thanks Jordan!!

It's a hell of a battle for the top of our division. Glad to see my hommies from Big Winds doing so well and so invested in the final outcome.

Now if only MY team could put together a few wins in a row...:pirate:

Even if you do, you have to play Drunker and Disorderlier in the final match up of the season. We hate to do it but we'll have to spoil your season. :shooting::shooting::shooting:

What? How can playing D&D be anything but a great time? I always have a great time playing with you guys! I just need to not try and match your level of inebriation, I can keep up for only a short while. Kinda like trying to keep up with Vapor Trails...:pirate:
