I think it would be better if we did a large potluck. There aren't many places to eat around Horning's Hideout. We're running up against shorter days for this week of Team Golf as well as the next, so a long lunch break just won't work.

Well, if 112 people each bring something, that ought to about feed my team! ;)
I think a potluck is a great idea, and may I suggest HOT foods?
As it is, I may just see if I can camp out there, hitting the SDG event on Sat., and TDG on Sun. In which case, I will have a stove, heater, canopy, tables, and more!

I like the idea of a potluck, but I think it might be better if each team did there own. I worry not everyone will bring items to contribute, and there won't be enough food for everyone. I mean we are talking 100 plus people. Also there is an entire team who I think is not even on this forum. It would suck if those who come in later get shortchanged on food, but if each team was doing their own they would lookout for their team mates hopefully to make sure food was saved for them. Just my two cents.

I talked to Jordan last weekend when we were all out at Horning's about the potluck thing, and he said each team should do their own if they like. It would be to hard to organize a big potluck for everyone. I know our team is doing our own potluck.

Ya know, all the trash talking around team disc golf really cracks me up. Usually you only see it from the lower rated players. It typically sounds like "We really kicked so-and-so's a$$!!". Um, no, you didn't - your handicap did. Way to stay within 20 points of the competition. Now if your competion is giving you ten strokes and you beat them straight up - THAT is worth bragging about.

Then you really don't understand handicapping systems very well.
Raw score doesn't matter, it all comes down to playing better than your rating. This isn't the USDGC or my personal favorite event name Put Up or Shut Up. We aren't deciding the "Championship of The World" each TDG event, we are providing a venue so that players of ALL skill levels can compete for fun and bragging rights during some cold and wintery weather when most people who talk shite on these boards (like yourself) are sitting on their posteriors inside trying to call out crap that you don't understand!:pirate:

Nice. I guess it's all a matter of persepctive. I'm usually the lowest rated player in Team Golf, and if I manage to stay within 14 strokes of someone whose rating is over 200 points higher than mine on a challenging course, I feel pretty good about it. I love handicap golf - this is why every year I look forward to Team Golf and Lunchtime League. The only person I really have to worry about beating is myself, and when I do have a good day and see improvement in my game, I see nothing wrong with talkin a little shit while I have the rare opportunity to do so. :)

When I was talking smack, thats all it was. This comment was more of a personal attack. Thats ok though, doesnt bother me. Just going off of the 1st round scores, I would have beat Victor, I did beat Nick, and I tied heads up with you (would have beaten you with my strokes. I think I beat Jessie too. I didnt do as well the 2nd round of course, so yeah I lost to Victor (by 3 I believe).

My guess is Troy that Big Winds took offense by the phrase that is in bold above. I know I took offense by it, and I am not even on that team. Those kinds of statements cross the line in my opinion. Especially hurtful, and degrading to woman that word is just not acceptable in any kind of smack talk.

Cindy :)
Yay looks like we are in 1st by 1 point. Great job also D&D for taking down Rockwood for the first time this season. As well as WMD for crushing the crushers, and their huge jump into 3rd overall. This is getting good. :yay:

You are looking for the 09-10 Standings file that can be found at the Teamdiscgolf.com redirect to the Yahoo group, but I don't think that I have updated it since the last match yet...
Tonight I hope to have that done and the ratings for next week ready to go as well...:pirate:

I have a question Jordan. After all our rounds were done I was told by my teammates that we had won all but one of our matches. Just wondering why we have a 6-3 score?
I understand if that is what it is but i'm just curious.
Oh yeah. I shot a freaking 996!!!

Named after the vandalism that you performed on the Wicked Witch of the East entry in Wikipedia under your username Hobblebobbleyumyummy! It has now been removed from the page by Josiah Rowe and if you click here (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wicked_Witch_of_the_East&diff=325668418&oldid=322183769) you can see where Josiah changed it back.
I was just going with bad Wikipedia information and now we are stuck with it!:chug:
