This happened on a flat parking lot, this is all wind my friend. I didn't want to rotate the video because I liked the sideways affect better. However, this was not my intention. The dang phone didn't 'auto-rotate the video as I thought it would.

Also, I suspected there would be speculation of a hoax. Nevertheless, this is all real, and I have no intention of hoaxing a 'record' out of a disc roll, much less hoaxing a disc roll for.. whatever reason there might be...

The wind was forcing the disc along while holding it up. :) I put it on the interwebz strictly because I had captured something rare and thought the world should see. I was amazed at the distance it rolled.

Its called a hyzer-flip.

Definitely the Barsby we all know. Probably a beat to death avenger or something. Beat discs can flip with practice, but to flip it, gotta snap and throw it hard most of the time, confidence in your discs is the key...

That has got to be the best disc golf video...excuse me, disc golf film, I have ever seen. I've studied filmmaking, and made a couple of films on 8mm and 16mm and it's not easy. Someone put quite a lot of thought and effort into putting this little film together. From the great use, and wide variety, of different camera angles (tracking the player/tracking the disc, first person POV, behind the disc, inside the basket, the supposed 'ace'), to all of the little plot elements that were added (playing the tree lie, playing the schule, the frustration of missing the drive but still making par--especially the comedic ending with the dog)...all the while playing with just one old school true Frisbee lid. Awesome.

I just ran across one of those while helping my father clean out his attic. Almost makes me want to go out and play a round with it...:chinscratch:might be fun.:jumpspin:

Really, really cool. The Masai fascinate me.

The creator of the piece told me that the fellows do some singing as part of welcoming visitors to their village. Visitors get a tour of the area and are introduced to some local culture. It all helps bring some needed tourist dollars into the economy. The 360 was pretty much a surprise the first time I watched.

As someone who has watched a good number of freestyle vids, it's refreshing to see a video that focuses on style and presentation, rather than simply going for the most outlandish tricks or the worlds longest combo.

That is awesome, I've seen videos of him throwing before. You should tell his dad though that they are measuring incorrectly for the record books! I'm nearly positive they need to have a spotter to monitor where the disc first hits the ground rather than where it ends up after bouncing and rolling, etc.

It would suck to get a record like that retracted!!!
