Horning's or bust!

It looks like it should be relatively decent weather this weekend, and I think I want to take advantage of it. Is anyone else in the Seattle area up for a road trip to Horning's this weekend? I've contacted a few friends but haven't gotten any solid responses. Either thinking of a 3 day or 2 day trip, mostly just want to get away and have some good golfing, and I've been wanting to check out the Meadow Ridge course for a while. I can carry 1 or 2 people in my car with camping gear, or if anybody wanted to go with a more spendy option, I could be down with staying at Grand Lodge too. It'd be cool to have a couple carloads if there were enough interest.

Shoot, I've been wanting to make a trip like this for a while, specifically to Horning's, but I've got some strange nagging back pain right now and I don't think a road trip rip is just what the doctor would order... I hope you have a bitchin' time.

I'd really like to check out the new course(s) at Horning's-- I'm not sure if I could get away with going for more than one night/2-day trip though-- I will run it past the wifey... when are you planning to depart Tim?

A 2 day trip would work for me. "Planning" is a very loosely applied term here, but if we were to do a 2 day thing, I think we'd want to leave somewhat early on Saturday to get down there and get a decent couple of rounds in, at a leisurely pace. Just lemme know what the wifey says, and we can figure something out from there.

Tim, unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make it... hope you have a great time! The wifey has to work on Saturday-- it looks like Jake and I will be raking leaves instead. I really hope you didn't wait around and shorten your trip because I said that I was interested in going... if so, I'm really sorry & I owe you one.

No sweat. As of now, I don't have anybody else confirmed for the trip, so it takes a bit of the motivation away. Still, I really want to play Horning's in all it's glory, so, I dunno, I may end up going solo. Anybody that might be interested in going, now's the last call.

If I do end up making the trip, I know cell service doesn't work out there, so if any Oregonians are willing to put up with me for a round or two, just look for the guy with the Boba Fett looking backpack. :cheers:
