So a friend found a nice black star destroyer a while back that appeared unmarked so he played with it, didn't like it, and gave it to me.

I figured I'd throw it in the trojan pile but brought it out to Rooster first to see how it flew, pretty nice, and I noticed while using it to block out the sun that it was a cool translucent color so I took a photo and uploaded it to Flickr to show some friends.

I was looking at the flickr shot yesterday, and with the sunlight behind it, you can see that someone put an email address on the top of the disc, on the stamp (right where it would be guaranteed to rub off in the bag...)

Some of the address is still available, but if you know whose this is, PM me and I'll send you my email address to which you can send an email from the address on the disc (which has subsequently rubbed off almost entirely...) and we'll get this little gem back in your hands.

It's already had several lives in my hands as I used it for a lefty skip shot at 6 at Trojan that was a pretty solid deuce run for me when the water was flat...

And yes, that does mean I was skipping it off the water :trophy:

Are we supposed to go find the photo ourselves? Because I gotta tell ya, I', not feeling quite that motivated....

I Don't imagine the rightful owner would need the photo...they ought to remember tagging a disc in this unorthodox fashion and be able to convince me it was theirs...

Well, you wrote "If you know whose this is...". I am not sure I would be able to ID a friend of mine's disc based on a vague description of HOW (not WHAT) he signs his discs(s), and no photo....

What's vague about a black star destroyer with an illegible email address tagged on the stamp?

The only vagueness is that this disc was tagged in a vague manner that was guaranteed to only get worse with time.

However, it's a cool disc, and I'm sure that the owner and his crew will be able to recognize it based on the description above.

Confidentially the picture has been linked from this site in another thread, but again, I'm confident the true owner can ID it and send the e-mail from the address on the disc.

Sorry, I just don't want to deal with anyone fishing around for free plastic...

:(

No more than I want to play 20 questions to get someone ELSE's disc back....

I am just having fun here, but I doubt that this disc will get back to its owner, unless that owner, or someone who sleeps with her, reads this thread!

Hey - I love playing semantics as much as the next fellow, but I'd much rather she get her disc back rather than have it fall into the hands of a shenanigan-puller.

It's so pretty.

BTW, not to tempt you into further sleuthing, but I believe I either posted it as an attachment or an embedded image link in a recent thread on here...

:whistler:
