After figuring out where this course is - I got a chance to get out there this afternoon and play a round and had tons of fun. It's still a work in progress, but all 18 baskets are in with # signs nailed to a tree where you should tee off. For those familiar with the other courses on the peninsula, this fits in well - it's all in the trees, with varying degrees of obstacles (trees, bushes, etc) on the fairways. The holes are all fairly short and technical - take your best mid-range discs out there (at least the ones that will take the tree hits well) - and you might want a friend to share spotting duties with on a few holes. BTW - #18 is crazy!!
Directions to the course (via Adam Schneider - thanks!):
Take Bond Road north out of Poulsbo toward Kingston (about 1/2 a mile)
Turn left on Big Valley Road
Go 4/10ths of a mile and turn right in the driveway of the big yellow house
Stay to the left and follow the road into the parking lot
You'll see the sign: Fredericksen Wilderness Park at the entrance
Follow the red signs with white letters down the hill, across the salmon
stream and up the trail to the first tee (about 1/4 of a mile back in)
BIG NOTE:
This is a course on PRIVATE property owned by Poulsbo First Lutheran Church which is open to the public for use - So be on your best behavior out there!
