I am looking for golfers with kids to meet me and my five year old son. We play a lot butnot with many kids. It would be great for him to play with somebody closer to his age. Maybe a father son doubles shootout. Might make for a good event down the road.

Great idea! My son, Jake (5 this week), and I will take you on in some 'random dad' doubles!
No, I will no put any money on it, Chris... you're better than I, and I've seen videos of your boy's form!
I live up near Mukilteo now, so Fennwick, Seatac, and Lakewood would all be close to equal distances for us to travel... Jake and I will have to get a few practice rounds in first, as he hasn't played an actual round yet-- he does enjoy putting with me in the back yard though.
I will also need to hit Lowell up for some super light discs for Jake to start chucking.

Sweet! We don't need to compete I would just like to get my son someone to play with at the course. Check out marshalstreet they have a large selection. They also have the edge discs, leopard, ace, and, something else I think. Lakewood sounds good to me. When are you available? Any other takers?

I would love to do something with juniors. My son is 8 and he only really gets to play with us and the occational tournament. He had the best time this past weekend at the Clash on the Columbia, but it would be nice to have him play with more kids that are his own skill level.
I am toying with the idea of having some kids of kids clinic and tournament next spring. An event like the Chick Flick but for kids. Glenwood in Vancouver would be perfect for this. Now I just need to actually start working on it.

You need to get in touch with Jason Pinkal. I think he would LOVE to help with this!

Thanks. I will, soon.
I know that I had to tear Easten away from the course on Saturday and Sunday. He wanted to play another round on Sunday after the awards. Crazy kid was having a blast.

So would Scott Hill. My son Matthew is dying to have someone his own age and skill level to play with and against. It really killed us that we were out of town for both the BMO and COTC - they would have been perfect for him.
I'm anticipating that some of the commitments in my life will settle down next spring and was thinking about looking into a jr tournament of some type then. I figured that if I run the tournament then I know we'll be in town. :biggrin2:

Scott you were one of the people Mitch and I thought would be interested in this idea. Zippyboy and I were making a mental list of people that we thought would have kids that would want to do this.
Maybe I should spin off a thread.

Yeah, Bob and I have been talking about this idea for years, but I've never had enough spare time to run a quality tournament.
On a related note, it would be great if Matthew and I could meet up with you, the Zipster, and Easton for a casual round.

I am sure we can arrange that. We are going to play in the Skyline Ace race on Sept 5th so unless you want to join us (which we would love) it will have to be after that. School is starting on Aug 31st so no more Friday morning rounds at our house.

Gonna miss the ace-race as we'll be at the coast. We'll be in town much more after school starts because we have soccer games every Saturday morning. Saturday afternoons should be looking good for golf.

Gimme a shout if you make it up near Seattle. Even though my son is 11 it'd be great to grab a fun round with you, your son and others. Some weekday evenings and possibly weekends would work.

Will do. My son acts much older than the average 5 year old so all should be good.
