After a long time, it seems Dion and Chandler are on the brink of 1000, after looking them up on pdga, seems at least 75 percent of their rounds are 1000 rated so maybe the next update will welcome the 2 to the 1000 club, goooooo gooo gooo!
As for me, I went up 2 points, wheee, my highest yet, only reason it hasn't gone up so much is cuz I keep playing tournaments blind or with minimal expirence at that course... sooner or later it will go up... at least I hope..

Well, I moved up from 902 to 911, but after the RCO and BMO are counted I should get a lot closer to the 930 mark, MA1 here I come!
Sam

Because you cannot play MA1 unless your rating says you should? This sounds like you're waiting for your rating to give you a little courage, Josh.

Sounds like a TD question, because if the final TD report was submitted then it would have been included.

I'm disappointed my 712 in Misoula did make it. I want to be an 800 rated player before the end of the year. BUT I need to keep those 912 rated rounds from screwing it up for me.

Yeah, too bad about RCO, Dion will have to hold off the 1000 rated party for the next update, more time for him to blaze more 1000 rated rounds i guess... Fry is 1000 now though which is great as well! Sexton is up to 1022! yeah... I'm the same, but got 3 pdga tournaments coming up so hopefully next update is more exciting

Dion we won't have to wait quite that long:
"The next ratings update is scheduled for October 20th. Please note that tournament directors must submit their TD report no later than Friday October 2nd in order for their event to be included."
Hopefully the RCO will make the next one, and also hopefully I can keep my rounds up in the next couple of tournaments.

I know I was going to catch crap for it but I was truly selfish and I did not capture anyone but my division. Surely there are others out there with time on their hands that could help the community out by taking on their own divisions. I will try to be more diligent in the future and remember to capture everyone.
Realistically I grabbed the pre- september 1st data before worlds to know who from Oregon were attending the worlds event and how they compared to the states talent pool. Unfortunately there were no women attending in the amateur ranks.
I will go edit my previous post to say amateur men

Ryan (#1) could probably be "moved" to the "turned Pro" section.
He did say after IncrediBowl that he ws turning Pro. :yay:
I supposse you could wait until 2010 starts for that to be validated. :whistler:

How will moving to an age protected division will help you improve?
Wouldn't you be more likely to improve if you played against stiffer competition? I'd love to hear your justification on this because frankly I'm bewildered. You argue strongly that the best way to improve is to move up, yet you don't seem willing to make that move yourself.

Not entirely sure how the points works, but I know it's totally do-able. The scrip for cash rule was put in place to eliminate the "I'm saving myself for Worlds" excuse.
Chuck Kennedy
October 22nd, 2009, 09:49 AM
The PDGA tracks points separately for events played in Am and events played in Pro for players who do both. If earning points is important for getting an invite to Pro Worlds in 2011, then it would be better to enter Pro divisions all year in 2010 and just accept merch if you cash in events prior to Am Worlds.
