Is it really only limited to 90 players?
NO..It is NOT limited to 90 players..that is a typo...
BUT we really need ALL players to sign up prior to the 22nd.
ALL registration by the Rebels will close on that date (including PDGA online registration)
Mt Bachelor will be handling "Late Registration" and WILL be charging a "fee"
We must submit a list of players to Mt Bachelor 1 week prior to the event because they are making "special" lift tickets for ALL players that will have your name on them.
This event is the premier Mtn event of the year.....get your entries in NOW.
Make your plans NOW........

Thanks, Magilla. I thought I remembered you saying that Bachelor can hold a lot more than 90. Registering before the 22nd will not be a problem for me, but it might take that long for me to convince the the whole tribe to come play.

"Super 9" will be ready for play by the end of today..........sort of... :whistler:
Ryan & I walked the Mtn yesterday AND are looking into the possibility of changing the "layouts" to create 3 - 13 hole courses from the top, for ratings purposes.
:jumpspin::dancing::jumpspin::yay:
Since NOTHING is final on the layouts...there is NO further info at this time.
IF it all happens like we want, there will be 3 - 13's from the top and the 18 hole Nordic course.
This will give us 57 holes instead of 45 for tourney play............
We created 9 or so NEW holes that we feel are some of the best on the Mtn.
More to follow.......Get SIGNED UP.....NOW!!!

Is Friday lift tickets included in the pack?
How much is Saturday dinner for my non-playing family?

Can anyone tell me why this tourney is so bloody expensive? $80 for MA1 is the highest cost I've seen yet. Is this because of the added expense of chairlifts?

You are correct, lift tickets for two days adds $30 or so to the total fee.

Mt Bachelor charges us $36 per player in fees that cover 3 days of lift tickets and the players party w/pasta feed at the top lodge.
ALL fees are stated on the flyer located at www.centraloregondiscgolf.com
YES, it is expensive.......BUT it is very consistant with the other KOM events.

I hope everyone is as excited for next weekend as I am! This will be my 2nd Lava Launch, and I've daydreamed about this tournament several times a month ever since I watched Mt. Bachelor shrinking in my rearview mirror around this time last year. It's a superlative tournament, in a majestic setting, and very well run. In fact, there's only 1 thing I hope is different from last year: the 7-hour drive from Seattle.
Ideally, I'd like to carpool with one/some of the players travelling down from Bremerton, Bellingham, Lakewood, or University Place. However, there are only a handful of players from NW WA playing in the launch, so I also want to see if anyone is interested in meeting up with me in the Portland area or in Biggs, OR (where Walla Walla & Tri-cities folks will turn off I-84 to head South down 97).
If any of these options may work for you or someone you know, please PM me or call Three-eight-6-3-six-6-three-8-1-four. If not, I'll see you at the Launch! Peace,
-Kyle

Today, I will be walking a NEW 9 holes with the Mtn Manager.
If he approves the layout....we will then have 54 holes.
This will give us 4 start points for tee times.
Even though we are playing more holes we SHOULD be able to have better flow. :chug::chug::chug::chug:
(flow of play that is :D )
Rebel Leader (Ryan Lane) is designing the IncrediBowl courses THIS WEEKEND.
He is putting an IncrediBowl amount of work into this "Tour" (KOM).

so is the 909 course just an extension of the alpine 9 course to be played after you finish alpine 9 (unless you start on 909 like mpo3)?
dEuCeDrOpPeR
August 27th, 2009, 11:37 AM
The Alpine 9 and the 909 will be played as one 18. This allows for an extra starting location, adds some cool terrain to the base area, improves the spectator experience from the lift and/or by foot.

Seriously though........
It hasnt been cold enough to produce the "crazy white stuff" that we LOVE here at Mt Bachelor.
At night, Its actually been warmer up there than down in Bend.
(40 vs mid 30's)
Thunder storms "shouldnt" be an issue due to the cooler temps. The really wicked storms kick up when its in the 80's-90's. We wont even get close to those temps.
