An open letter to all huckers -
To keep things simple, can this thread be the ONLY thread for lost plastic at Trojan? It is always easier if there is only one place to have to look for finding updated info as to what has gone missing. Thanks.

might my name be added to the trojan nation? I don't get out there much but am certainly part of the lore that is Trojan.

You are right, but one of the caveats is that you wander up and throw a round with a couple of us, and have a beer or two with us (or your beverage of choice). Other than that, you're totally in!
As an aside, thanks for all that you have done to get the plastic from the murky depths of Trojan. You are a man among men, sir.

I had a very busy day on Sunday. Lets see how good my memory is.
First round
Hole 10 - Fly Dye Z wasp. It floated for quite a while. Last spotted floating towards the temporary RCO teepad. Probably won't be found unless somebody goes SCUBA diving.
Hole 11 - Orange champion Orc. Just offshore near the first OAK tree that overhangs the water.

Hole 16 - JK Aviar Putter. In the weeds, to the left and probably 50-100 feet short of the basket. should be right near the edge, but I looked like crazy and didn't see it.
Second round
Hole 11 - Purple DX Orc. Should be right next to the Orc I lost in round 1.
Hole 12 - Yellow star Destroyer /w bio hazard dye. 50 -100 feet short of the pin, probably about 30 feet out. Buh-bye.
Hole 12 - Black star Destroyer (white on bottom) - 100 feet short of the pin, and right off shore. It looked like it hit the shore and rolled in.
Third round
Hole 8 - Red star Teerex (pink on bottom) - Just off the shore about 150 feet past the bridge.

I got a call last night from Brian - the guy who used to sell discs he found. Seems he pulled out 74 discs yesterday or the day before and is busy calling people. He didn't realize it was me. I told him to keep the disc or give it away.

Played a couple rds at Trojan yesterday. This time of year it is hands down the most scenic course in the state. There were a couple of casualties on hole 8 in the canal between 8 and 11. White DX Orc belonging to Dan and a white Star FL that belongs to Matt. Matt also had an orange Z Buzz roll off the edge of the fairway on 11 on our previous trip there.
I believe all three discs have contact info.
I'd be listing the ones I've thrown in the water as well, but I'd rather get wet than leave a soldier behind.

Eric, while I respect your enthusiasm to strip naked and dive into the Trojan waters, that one was right in the f-ing middle of the canal. I consider it long gone.
On an unrelated subject, if anyone is interested in seeing naked pictures of Eric swimming at Trojan, I have a few on my cell phone. :puke:

hey bob, sorry i didnt read this thread earlier... moving to cali and working full time and all that made me forget this website for a moment. I didnt go to the mudd for the WDDGA *washington deaf disc golf association* tournament cuz of willamette open. I heard the mudd was awesome that weekend but I had to make a choice based on my fiance wanting to play with more women and that means hearing pdga tournament... I hope to come up there sometime in the future...
Now has brian everrrr posted a list for viewing pleasure? or can anyone do me a huge favor and ask brian if he has any discs that have robin johnson or nathan boyes names on it? Not in the mood to call him up and have him say "relay, no i aint interested in buying anything from any deaf people... discs? oh yeah i got a few, 10 dollars each.... oh it has your name on it? oh yes, that will be 12 dollars then... " you know where i am going with that... lol..

Blue champion valkyrie on hole 12
Yellow champion beast on hole 12
Green champion teebird on hole 11
Blue champion orc on hole 8
I also found a few:
175 Green star destroyer (Eric ?)
171 green star stamp destroyer (Sassalicious)
pinkish gazelle? (KT Paplow)
I will bring all the discs with me to next team disc golf

I was a complete Shank master yesterday. A majority of my bag is in that freakin pond. I think they all have my name on them except my new pink festivus monarch.
150 orange star valk
167 green champ orc
158 blue monarch
159 pink festivus monarch no name
Edit: I think there's more in there but I think they have my name and I don't want to inventory my bag. It's just too sad.

I've got a few out there as well.
Hole 6, I believe - a 150 Blue DX Starfire and a Pink 165 DX Valkyrie
Hole 8, fairway drive went left of the basket in the water (looked like it was close to the edge) - a 150 Yellow DX Destroyer
Eric has a Champ Beast and Champ Valkyrie in the water between holes 8 and 10. He's got a Teebird out there somewhere too but I don't know which hole.

Brody is a stud. He totally rescued my WOX Destroyer from the water on hole 1.:cheerleader::cheerleader:
But the losses were high for me, even though I pulled my Tracker and my Firebird from the water.
Hole 6 claimed my Champion Sidewinder. Tin cup shot after the Tracker went in.
Hole 8 stole my Pro Orc and Pro Wraith. Another Tin cup moment on a different round.
Hole 12 took my FLX Surge, pin high 25-30 feet out.
All in all 7 in the drink and 4 lost isn't too bad. It's the 7 stupid throws I'd like to have back.:pirate:

So, late last night, I received a phone call from a number my cell phone didn't know, from an area code I wasn't familiar with. The guy asks if I am Mitch. Of course, I tell him that I am. He goes on to say that he pulled a disc of mine out of the river. Awesome. Turns out it was a green FLX Surge. He tells me he pulled it from the Brady course. I thought he meant the course near my in-laws house near Brady, WA. No, actually, he meant the course at Brady Park - in TEXAS!
The disc he had was the very first disc I ever won in a tourney (Gawain's last Ice Bowl). I threw it at Trojan on hole 10, thinking that I couldn't possibly flip a Surge. Apparently I was wrong, as the disc landed itself in the middle of the pond. Of the many discs I have lost out there, that was one of only two that I have ever really wanted back. I let the guy keep it, as it sounds like he belongs to a group of huckers down there that are similar to the 'Nation - they rigged a rake to help them pull discs out of the river, and then they call back the people who lost them.
Though there is no way I can accurately pin this on Brian, it seems like he would be the most likely culprit in my disc somehow ending up in Texas. However, whoever was responsible for that, thanks, ass.

Champion Plastic disc - totally blank top, some faded stars written in sharpie on the back. If this might be yours, PM me on here and we can discuss it.
Dave Swanda's Champion Plastic disc.
Yellow Champion Viking with two numbers on it, and only one name.
Star dyed TeeBird belonging to Eric.
A DX Roc belonging to Alex.
And a HukLab Champion Beast, belonging to Patrick.
Calls will be made.

I made no secret of the fact that 3 of us went to the swamp all last year. I was the only 1 of the three that actually returned the portion of discs I found. The other 2 traded off discs to whomever and never called on the discs. I took the heat and hate, and yet returned dozens of discs, they get no hate and they kept all their discs. Makes sense. maybe you can take me off the list of people who stole your discs. Only at the very beginning did I not call on discs.. and even then I went back and called on all of the ones I didn't cross names out on.
*EDIT*
I might consider letting you know who they are as well, I have been very grievously dissed by both of them so I have no reason to protect them. message me I might reply back if I am feeling particularly vengeful.

Maybe other entities have been fishing for plastic as well. I've gotten calls back on three discs from two different people from in the water in the last week and a half, so I'd say that's the case. Gotta love the warm weather.
Also I was there a couple days ago, and in the afternoon with the sun up high, you could see the bottom of the lake in a lot of places. I had a roc go in on 11 and got it back my second round after the muck settled down and the water was clear enough to see the disc 6 ft offshore and under 3 ft of water.
We took a friend of mine who doesn't golf much, and he came back missing 4 discs. Only one in the drink though!

Well, I found 50 more discs. I have called everyone that had a name on it. The rest I kept. If you do not want to lose a disc you should put your name(and especially a phone number/email) on it. A good portion of the discs I found had numbers and I have already returned a few.

Oh, and Ashley was pretty stoked that you pulled one of her discs out right about the time we were finishing up on 11. That was pretty nice of you.
Well, no I didn't find any with that sign on it this trip. However I did find one with the sign a while ago. It said Hiatt and has a number. I called on it and then for some reason took it out of the return pile. That could have been because no one called me back or possibly someone told me to keep it. Not sure. It was just a DK Roc yellow. I have it in my grubby little hand right now. If that is yours and you want it now, let me know.
Also I looked for her other disc for a while and just couldn't find it. I actually got chased out of the swamp by a muskrat/nutria/man-eating otter, or whatever it is. Not sure if it was a biter, but I wasn't going to stick around to find out either. It was about 10 feet from me and headed straight at me. Not fun.
EDIT: If it is OK with everyone, I will just edit my responses to individual discs into this one post so we don't keep adding more to this topic. 3 pages is already enough for people to look through.
Sorry no Element at all. I didn't get to stay for very long. I got there late and only really hit 2 holes. Maybe next time though.

Today on hole #14 I lost TWO discs! The first one was my 11x KC PRO ROC to the left of the basket in the TALL stuff. The second one was just foolish :pullhair: I re-teed and put my KC Champion Glow ROC in the drink! It should be about 20 feet out in the water a little left of the basket. I got in the water fully clothed and searched for about fifteen minutes to no avail. HELP!!!
REWARD!! It really sucked because I was -1 at that point. :bricks:
I would owe you big time if you could find the glow roc for me. :bowing::bowing:

I will certainly try. I know I would cry if I lost that disc :waaah:
That is one of the holes I was unable to get to last time so I will be hitting that one for sure.
I notice your Marley avatar .. I just found the only reggae guy I have liked since Bob died. Tarrus Riley .. I have listened to his stuff on youtube it is really chill. Just makes you feel good. if you haven't already you should check him out.

Lost and Found at Trojan 6/28/09.
I'll start with what I found. I haven't called all #'s yet, but will. If any of these are yours or you know the person, let me know.
Found:
Red Star Boss, Hole #2, Caleb Flori
Orange Star Wraith, Hole #9, Adam Bell
Clear Champion Spider, Hole #13, really stained, but I think it says L.E.D.I.A.C with name Valdez.
Purple Star Aviar Driver, Hole #13, Nate K (# is not valid).
What I Lost (name and # on disc except for Orion LS):
White XC, Hole #2. I think it went across the creek.
Orange Orion LS (no name or #). Hole #4. Across creek between basket and #5 teepad (near tree on edge). Just got this from a friend and had not put my ink on it yet.
Green Surge, Hole #9 about 15' out between bench and the first tree on bank.
Red TeeRex, Hole #12, middle of lake
Red/Yellow/Orange Tie-dye Buzzz, Hole #13, pin high, and I thought right near the bank in the lagoon
Red Breeze, Hole #13, middle of lagoon, 20' past pin.

on Sunday 6/28...
FOUND on hole 14: white Huk Lab roc, name on bottom says Milpond. I called the number a couple times but they kept rejecting my call coming from an out-of-state area code. left msg.
LOST on hole 7: orange star TL, fluffed into lake maybe 3/4+ of the way down, 10-15 ft out. has name & number on it. I also lost discs on 5 and 6 but don't care too much about getting those back.
I will be coming back down for RCO... really hope someone has been able to retrieve that TL by then!

10 - 15 feet out sounds more like a job for Brian than it would be for me. However, if I come across that TL, I will let you know.

Lost - neon orange Buzzz on hole 11 between the two annoying trees (they over hang the water) it is between 5 and 10 feet out.
It will most likely be a job for Brian since Zippyboy was with me and we could not see it at all.

Only made one sacrifice at Trojan this morning.
Hole 11, almost pin high. Between the last tree on the fairway and the basket, probably a little closer to the tree. Just off the shore.
Yellow Star Max, custom dyed.
Name and number are on the back.

Lots of discs lost today at Trojan! Only 1 we were unable to find. 172 Yellow Pro Destroyer with the the Huk Lab Blowfly. Hole 5, wind took it up and over the first area of crap on the right.
Found (while looking for the Pro Destroyer) 175 Yellow Star Valkyrie. I believe the name was Rick Moon. It's still in my trunk and I am being too lazy to go get it.
Also, last time we were out there I lost a Yellow Millennium JLS. Not sure on weight, or exact name of their plastic. Which ever one is just like Pro plastic. Hole 8 about 3 ft short of the bank (approximately 25 ft beyond that tree on the corner of the path). Don't know that that makes sense but what ever. Would love this disc back.
Thanks,
Amber & Crist

Some of the names I recognized.
Over the hill Bob
Ken Gilmore
Brody Canon
Brody Miller

I lost a faded white MRV on hole 14 recently. But it didn't have my contact info on the back, it had Theo Pozzy's name and number on it.
Last year he donated that disc to the RCO fundraiser pile and I bought it and loved it. You didn't happen to find that one did you? It should've been right next to Sam's disc as it had the same flight, just missing the basket high never to be seen again...
Also we will be having this year's RCO out there again this weekend so I am sure that plenty of players would be glad to see you out there retrieving plastic. If you do head out, please stop by Tournament Central so that I may thank you for your work getting plastic out of the water.:pirate:

Well some people do go in there just to retrieve their discs and they pull out multiple other discs. I know for a fact they don't all return them. i came across a group when I was there yesterday and they had lost a disc there and said they pulled out 7 others. They were talking about where they were going to use them .. which leads me to believe they were not going to return them. That same story happens everyday, someone loses one and pulls 7 more out. But I will try to find yours . I might show up for the RCO .. who knows.

I lost a white star teebird on hole 10 a few days ago, my first round at Trojan. In my attempts to avoid the large pond, I added a couple % to the throw. To my shock and horror I watched my disc fly straight past, onto the highway, where it took a sizeable skip just behind a northbound SUV.
When I went to recover the disc, lo and behold, another giant pond on the other side of the highway. You never can win.

Hey all, thanks for a great site and forum, seems like tons of good info on here! My first post :biggrin2:
---
It's a damp, cool morning at Trojan Park. The wind is twisting through the course with bold, sporadic gusts. I approach the tee-pad at hole #9 thoughtfully. I feel calm, not exactly confident, but happy to have saved a series of near disasters on #8. A lone fisherman sits on the opposite shore of the lagoon, far to my right, just at the spot where the bank begins to curve towards the hole. He is wrapped in a thick, greasy flannel, his hat pulled low over his eyes. He can see me I think, but he's stoic, solid, fishing...
The angler is sitting directly under the flight path of a back-hand bomber, so I opt to play it safe. I decide on a fore-hand shot with my green Z-Flick. I visualize the shot gliding straight out from the tee, with a floaty turn to the right, clearing the trees and landing near the basket. I step onto the tee pad, and draw a deep breath, gripping the disc tightly. As it leaves my hands, a sickening feeling of terror sweeps through my gut. I can feel the wind gust suddenly. Small troughing waves swell up in the lagoon, churning against the banks, sending the ducks shrieking into the woods. My disc lurches and staggers through the winds, first to the left, then to the right, and all the while up, up, up...
I look at the fisherman, and he hasn't even flinched. I realize then, that he's seen this all before, and is in no danger. We've come to a silent agreement now, well aware that the disc is going into the water, and it does...
---
Hmmm, also lost a neon-yellowish, Buzz GT, in some tall grass in a secret location, but that's another story, for another time...
My discs usually have my e-mail on them, and maybe a little smiley face. Ok, thanks and have fun! :biggrin2:
This has my vote for post of the year candidate (do we have an award for that?). The style of writing reminds me of a local sports writer... :chinscratch:

nope none in this batch. However it is easiest to have a phone number. if you don't like all the writing just put it on the inside of the rim. The problem is when I pull 60-100 discs out at a time, I can't remember everyone's code names. So I generally just call on the ones with numbers.

I had so much fun I wasn't ready to go home), but I did lose one in the brush during warm-ups in the morning. Hole 16, on the left. Went in really early. There are two decent sized trees about 100' up the fairway; the disc went in just to the left of the first one. It was fairly hot, so it probably went in a ways. I looked for a few minutes right away, and then for a little bit longer later that day.
If you happen to be in the area looking for it, walk a few extra feet towards the water and you'll see a HUGE beaver lodge; probabably about three feet tall and 8-10' diameter. Nice!
By the way, the disc is a yellow champion orc with a Kokopelli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokopelli) dye.

It was pulled out of the lake and taken to tourney central. I picked it up, hoping to save you the trouble of looking through that giant pile, but then I didn't see you for the rest of the day. It's in my car. Are you going to be at TT this week?

Anyone know the whereabouts of a max-weight champion first run boss with rainbow stamp - clearly marked with Trey Morgan and his contact details?
It was recovered and returned to the pile of lost discs, but somehow evaporated before Trey could get a hold of it.
No questions asked on safe return...

There were a couple discs that vanished from the pile .. including one for Carrie Coleman. I think someone came through looking for discs in good shape. I am not happy about that. I hope all goes well and it was only someone pulling it out for the owners .. but why would they do that when the owners were there? I am not stoked on this. I also had an unmarked star boss vanish from my pile on the shore when I was in the water on Saturday. Those are just the ones I remember, I can't keep track of what-all was pulled out so I have no idea if others were nabbed also.

Lost on saturday at trojan, Red Element on hole 6(I marked the spot with a stick hoping to come back to it...)& a Purple Boss with big letters "BENDY II" written on it on hole 12 2nd shot. Both should have my name and number on them.

I know that Carie's red candy disc with protoype "Discraft" stamp was pulled to be returned to her personally because she was not in the same pool. Maybe she will post here to confirm she received it. Perhaps the Star Boss owner pulled his/her own disc from your found stack (although I believe it is a violation of PDGA rule to use or even carry an unmarked disc) on the shore, but s/he should have let you know.
Say Brian, did you happen to find ANOTHER neon lime green FLX Buzzz in the canal off hole 8 pin high? Thanks for returning the first one, don't ask why I dunked another, because I don't know! Did the tournament give you a gift in thanks for your massive contribution? I hope they did, and that it was something very cool!

I would say they gave me some VERY cool stuff! Sam really came through with a shocker. He talked to a bunch of people I had retrieved discs for and they gathered enough to buy me a full color fund raiser disc!!!! It is so sweet I am going to snuggle with it at bed time. We may even spoon .. not sure.
Yeah I got pretty messed up by those long grass patches. The thing is I thought the grass was just irritating my skin. but in fact it was tearing me to shreds. I have dozens and dozens of slices all up and down my legs from those horrible grass blades. The second day there was way better, because I knew not to go through the long grass LOL. It was my fault for not knowing.
I just got done washing all the 60+ discs I took home. Now tomorrow I will be calling on as many as I can and then also the next day as well. There were some with just a name and no number so i will post a bunch on here to see if anyone knows them.

Star TL Yellow, with the name R. Manley
Yellow star wraith name danny Wortz on it number was out of service

Threw this a few times, and it really feels like a special disc, so if anyone knows 'Jesse' please pass the word).
Does it say SD or DS? DS is Destroyer. I didn't find SD on Innova's list of abbreviations. (http://www.innovadiscs.com/discs/abbrev.html)

Due to minute variations in wind patterns, thermal drafts, and unexpected new foliage growth, I managed to temporarily misplace my yellow Pro-D Force on hole #6. It was last seen skipping towards the shore, pin-high and about 30 feet out...
I actually decided to leave this disc behind, in order to work on my 'mental game', but an unusual series of events soon required me to enter the canal on #8 in my boxer shorts. Dripping wet and strangely invigorated, I decided the time was now ripe to return to #6- and while I wasn't able to find my Force, I did come across a few others.
---
Found:
Purple 172 Wraith- Bad Monkey Open stamp. Slightly mysterious as this disc is unmarked but for a lone PDGA # concealed on the inner-rim. Further research leads me to believe this once belonged to the legendary Edward Florance.
Clear 170 Boss- 'Rising sun over disc golf basket' dye job in red ink. Quite the unique and mysterious disc. The name appears to be 'Denny'- I left a voice-mail, but had to guess on a few digits as the phone # is quite faded.
Neon-green 171 Star Max- This disc was quite a mess- literally blackened with mud to the point of being unrecognizable. After I scrubbed it down, it is actually in great shape! The name is Bob, and the number has been mysteriously disconnected, with no further information available!
Prostyle Golf Discs HX-1- Not sure what to say about this one... An antique maybe? It is possibly the most unattractive disc I've ever seen, like a bad bruise on top of a rash, covered in mud. Name is J. Maloney, which sounds mysteriously familiar...
Colin, I do believe the green Star Max belongs to a friend of ours as well. Bob Wisecarver. Get ahold of me if you want to throw tomorrow afternoon.

Found a yellow Wraith early yesterday morning on hole #1- sort of wierd because this disc was just sitting out in the open, center of the fairway, just before the big trees guarding the hole. Says 'Rideout' on the rim...
It may have been the windiest morning I've ever played at Trojan, so perhaps it was blown down out of the tree over-night? Well let me know if this baby sounds familiar :D

seriously! deceptively simple and straightforward! it was a lovely little toss and then this radioactive tree jumped out of the pond and bitch slapped my disc down into the freakishly deep depths of that stinky murkishness... ah, well, now I know better... and maybe it was time for me and pinkie to move on, anyway... my game has advanced and grown quite a bit in the four years I've had that disc...

depends how good is your 250' straight game?
do you like throwing scary routes?
being a virgin to the course for TDG a couple years ago, i only lost 2 discs and 1 was a frikken 150' upshot
it has a lot of water, but there are safe routes on every hole.......so extras would be good if you wanna huk extra shots/routes other wise throw it str8 and safe you will be good.
You can also just huk to your hearts content at Trojan and stop in to Disc Golf Depot on you way to Milo and re-stock your bag. :trophy:

I'll probably bring back ups of all my favourite molds on the trip for holes with water that I'm not 100% of my skill on. That being said, if there's a hyzer line I can hit 275 every time. If it's a low straight shot I'm pretty much good to 225. Time will tell. I'm hoping my low straight game is at a consistant 300 feet by the trip.

Just played my first round at Trojan yesterday, fun times but I lost two discs. Problem throwing alts is that you usually don't know quite how they will fly.
Anyway, had both a beat Star Wraith and a Champ Coyote hyzer out on the first water hole (#6 I think) if anyone finds them, would be sweet to get at least the Coyote back. :)

I have a chronic condition called, "decrepit old man arm." I've made that annie shot a few times and never plunked one there yet. With my best annie drive, I'm still looking at a low-percentage putt. Here's my deal> When I started playing the coward at Trojan, my scores dropped dramatically. I took that as a sign from Blinky the Three-Eyed Fish and I've never looked back. Someday I'm going to get a par round there.
On edit:
Managed to hit about 475 and keep it straight and 8-10 feet off the ground almost the whole way.
I can see we're talking about a different game here.

Well maybe it was more like 12-15 feet, I dunno it seemed real low. Lol. If you're referencing my different quotes in distance from the two threads, I can't hit 475 all the time and it sure as hell isn't predictable as to where it's going to go hah

There is never a huge expanse of water to clear... I played it safe and comfortably made it over the water in most cases... #11 I hit an unexpected tree and #6 I was just too scared and didn't have enough faith in my annie... the deal is, this is not a beginner course, and it would be pushing it to call it an intermediate course... the water gets in your head and tightens you up and there are other well placed obstacles as well... next time I go out I'm just going to bring a bunch of old throw away eclipses and use those near the water if there's also tree obstacles until I learn the fairways and lines a little bit better... I would say your first time out, just for your head game, bring plenty of spare plastic.

So hole 6 is a big anny or side arm I guess? Hmm. Might be taking the safe route on that myself. I just don't have enough faith in my sidearm right now. That being said our trip isn't for a while and I plan on working on it a bit.

Should be an easy sidey low hyzer flick for you. If I had a rotator cuff, I'd probably try that.
Funny: reaching for the mouse to post this, my shoulder popped.

On hole six you throw over water, probably about 200' There is water on the left, so if you don't throw rhbh hard enough, it will fade into water. Accuracy is important, as there is a big tree that overhangs the water and protects the shoreline; if you hit that tree you will drop straight down and be wet. There is a narrow fairway to the right, but it isn't a clear shot - there are a fair number of trees. While it's safer, it is by no means a guaranteed 3.
It's a pretty well designed golf hole. Definately a risk/reward shot.

... and that overhanging tree appears to have suffered a little bit this winter and is maybe overhanging more than it used to be... I don't know, tho, as I've only played it the one time...
After my one round out there I came away feeling like it's a really great course, very enjoyable... the flow is excellent, the scenery couldn't be better, starts easy... finishes easy, but you must have faith in your discs and your skills or else you will suffer and end up in the water... before your throw (and #6 is a perfect example) you have to really believe that you will make it over the water, if you throw to weak and doubtful you'll lose your favorite disc... ;)

I like how it went very circularly (I was a creative writing major, I can use words like that) around the water...

I played Trojan for the first time on Sunday with the map printed from online, there were a couple of long walks to the next hole, more than enough to confuse a first time player.

I guess there were a couple of longish walks... and now that I recall, dad and I did get a little bit confused on the back maybe between 12 and 13... but I guess the scenery and that groovy covered area were enough to keep me from minding too much... my home course, too, is a lot of walking... not long walk outs, but a good hike thru the woods, so I'm used to it I suppose...

It flows well in some places, but not others. Holes 2-8 are great, as is 10-12, and 14-18. There are huge walkouts to holes 9, 10, 13.

...yes... now that I'm remembering, we were a little unsure where to go for 9, too... and all the "false" teepads made it extra confusing (the little square pads of cement scattered all over the place)... regardless... I really liked the course... and I stand behind my liking of the flow, too... takes all kinds, right?

There's a hole in a course near Vancouver (Canada) that when played in the touranment config of the course has some evil but easy water. The water is at about 300 and about 30 feet accross. There's also tress on both sides making the gap you need to hit about 30 feet wide. There's room to go over if you've got the 350 foot hyzer shot, but it needs to be pretty high when it coming down cause you can't really go too long either due to OB. Anyways, the point being. It's pretty easy to throw 340 and clear the water. But if you sketch yourself out you'll either go in the water or fall short and get a par. You just need to know you can hit it and have faith your disc what it's supposed to do (I throw a teebird there usually) and you can do it every time. Worry about the water and you'll end up in it.

Is that Canadian footage or something?
Just kidding buddy, it's just that a lot of us can't get to 340 feet. You are at a totally different level in disc golf than I. Maybe I'll have to drive up and take some lessons from you. :)

Lol. My throw isn't that good. I can put it out striaght ish to 350 80% of the time. And on longer holes 450 is usually do able. But, you need to remember that our courses in my home town have almost no trees due to the pine beetle killing 75% of the trees on our course. Whe. It comes to the 300 foot tunnel shots I see in picutes of Oregon courses I'm more or less screwed.

I miss the cooling tower, but still think it's cool I just wish more of my friends had the cajones to play it with me...
One who will remain unnamed recently responded, "I hate that f-ing place" when I proposed a Saturday round out there.
He was smiling, but there was no way I was going to try to drag the group out there and deal with the consequences of a lack of confidence heading out to Trojan...
But remember kids, discs in the pond at Trojan are like pennies in the wishing well - you get a wish every time you throw one in!

I wonder if there's something you could do to a disc temporarily that would help. Like ribboning up when there's too much snow to see your disc after it goes under.

Eric... I'm going to be out there this Sunday and at least once a weekend until the slosh in march... so if you want to ditch your friends with no cojones (which I s'pose I don't technically have either, but I'm not afraid to man up every now and again) give me a ring...

I'll keep that in mind - I'm in the process of borrowing my friend's golden retriever to go fish out some of my recent abominations against aqua so if I make it out there, we can do some valk fishing...
