I'm heading down to play Trojan in April. Along with all the other dream courses in the area.
In preparation, I've bought back ups of my back ups then more back ups so I have back ups of back ups of back ups. Maybe I'll buy one more set of back ups then I'll be covered 4 times over lol.
Seriously though, I don't think there is any hole there I will be afraid to run the basket at. After all, risk brings great reward (or horrible water rash). Either way it'll be a good time.

... and I think that's the key... not being afraid...
all the water is plenty easy even for my girly arm to get across... but you can never guarantee you won't hit some tree or have a bad skip or whatever...
backups of backups is the way to go...

I've already determined that your girly arm will outreach my geezer arm.
Anyway, after all my trips to Trojan, I still only have one disc there. That's not a huge amount of trips, but still, I believe it rewards discretion. I accept that I will bogey hole five. I've got only one par on that peninsula hole.

I just had to give props to whomever it was that stripped himself down to his adorable blue skivvies and jumped in the nasty water off the peninsula on #8 yesterday (in the middle of freaking february!) and then did a fantastic little happy dance when he successfully nabbed his disc back! Way to go, dude!

If anyone is feeling the need to go swimming, my glow Eagle (or EL, never paid that much attention to which mold it was....) landed right next t othe basket on 14 and proceeded to roll down into the water.

Serves me right for playing Trojan solo, but I was feeling anti-social.
I'm guessing someone will find it before then since I didn't spend much time on it - it all comes down to the veracity of the finder...
And whether my tags are still legible...

solo golf is good meditation.
and i'm pretty sure that trojan demands sacrifice every time one plays it, so i've decided i can't be bummed about the lost discs... i'm just going to have to make a decision if i am willing to be a trojan disciple... if i can handle a sacrifice every time i play out there... is it worth that much plastic? do i really love that course that much that i can give up that many old eclipses? what if i just tossed one in and said some kind of disc prayer before i started my round? would that work to keep my plastic in my bag and the air and the fairway and the chains where it freaking belongs? i'm totally trying it next time i play out there...

Thanks for returning the Buzz! We were waiting for the mud to settle and then coming back for it. I was hoping to run back into you all to say a proper "thank you" but, well, you know how that goes. So, "thank you" again, we'll have to wait for the proper part.
Emma - Next weekend is Team Golf so it'll be crazy at Trojan. If you end up heading down to see Matt & Vieve on Saturday let me know, I'd love to throw a round with you all.

All discs lost that day were Orc's. overall I have lost 5 Orcs, and1 Beast there. I think thats it, haha

My dad recently fished a disc out of the water at Trojan Park, outside of Portland, OR. It is a white disc with PDGA# 34715, and the name Ryan Dedoche. These are the discs I lost at Trojan while practicing or playing the Oregon Championships
Tournament hole 6, about 300 off the tee into the water, a 2nd run Yellow Teerex
Tournament hole 13, about 2/3 of the way down, gently rolled into the water, a unmarked special edition gazelle or cheetah, has black inside the rim all the way around...
Tournament hole 16, a champ boss and pro boss along the side within 100 of the basket.
Tournament hole 14, a sparkle rogue with ddga stamp within 75 of the basket.
Tournament hole 17, a z nuke about 10 short of land towards the basket...
I confess I was unfaithful with these discs and did not throw them right and I deserve a 2nd chance to treat them the way they should be treated, please return these discs to me so I can redeem my faith...

150 Class White Surge--wife grip locked it, hit hanging branches of tree to right, fell straight down, could not find. Did not hear water, so may just be in tall grass, but ran out of patience looking.
Orange Banshee dx plastic (beat to hell)--launched over lake into tall grass behind basket on #9
#11 (before we realized no basket)
Blue XD--wife put it straight into canal on right, off tee.
#13
Yellow Talon Elite Z Huk Lab stamp gen 001-004--off the tee, skipped into water just left of shoreline before basket.
Names and numbers should be on them. Not too concerned about the Banshee, but would like the others if someone finds them. Thanks.
Cheers!

Yellow Star TB #16
Orange Star TB #1
Blue DX Eagle #17
Orange Discmania Champ PD #14
Probably not gettin them back (All hole numbers are ORDGC holes not actuall trojan)
All discs have SW on the front and name and pdga # on back
Damn trojan got me for 6 discs this year. On the bright side I heard haggerty offered to pay us all back out of his own money!!!!!
Jeff, Great tournament, as good as any we played all year. Sick course, Crazy TD, our state champion should be named at a tournament like this.
Cant wait for next year.

Two I wouldn't mind getting back:
1) Tim Selinskie Champion Katana. Yellow. Off of the bank of 10. Potentially WAY off of the bank. I had to look away after I threw it.
2) Champion Wraith. Blue. In the canal. Forehand roller on the monster par 5 - what is normally hole 11.
Reward for the first one is getting to keep the second one? Seems like a pretty good deal to me... dunno.

I didn't even play in the tournament, and I still lost three, two wet, and one just left behind.
Red Roadrunner- hole 17 in the drink to the left
Blue XS - Hole 17 ( apparently didn't learn my lesson the first time)
Yellow 168 Star Vulcan..left behind on land, no name on it -probably on hole 3 (yep I deserve to lose this one, alright) :whistler:
Nothing too dear to me, but like to get em back all the same.

I didn't play the tournament, but got a call Sunday from Tyler who said he found my purple Buzzz, my first ever ace disc. I lost the disc at Trojan in 2008! Picked it up last night and am so grateful to Tyler for contacting me.
Thanks Tyler!!!

... anyway, thanks again. i s'pose i had to make the sacrifices to earn the glory...

I got a call last night with for a ROC that was found.
I "lost" it at the ORDGC.
Wasnt that important to me so I told them they could keep it/sell it.
Now if they could just find 3 or 4 that I would like to actually get back...:rolleyes2:
Thanks for the "chilling" work...THAT takes dedication.

1) Turquoise KC Pro Cheetah (11x) left out on the warm up field. :headbang: Someone picked it up--$20 reward for return, no questions asked. :wink2:
2) Light purplish Z Nuke 4' off the shoreline of hole 10, about half way to pin.
3) Light blue (1st run) Z Nuke 15' short of hole 12's shoreline, 10' left of pin line. :rolleyes2:
4) Dark blue star TL 6' off the left "shoreline" of hole 13, 60' back of pin high.
5) Dark blue champ kitana in the middle of the lake on the way to hole 17 peninsula (impossible to reach/find, just mentioned here in memorial).:seeya:
All five discs have the initials "JM" on them, but no name or phone number because I just prefer the way unmarked-up discs look (and because I'm an idiot). Free discs offered for the return of 2-5. Happy hunting! :puke:

I "lost" a blue, first run star teerex while warming up on Sunday on ORDGC hole #3. After I scrambled to pick up the other 4 or so discs I had thrown that one was nowhere to be found though it was seen in the middle of the parking lot to the right of the island.
It had the name Kye Doerr and his number on it. Possibly it also said Bart on it? I was the 3rd owner.
Perhaps someone picked it up planning on turning it in and forgot and still has it? Or called Kye? That would be a nice one to get back.

Thank You and a HEADS UP.
Someone called me about a disc they bought on Craig's list. From the description, I believe
it was fished out of Trojan and sold on the internet. I told the caller he could keep it - DX Plastic...

I got scared by all the water and used some old DX that I wasn't used to throwing and lost it immediately. Then I got my balls back and eventually lost an orange Z nuke on the hole after you throw out onto the finger. maybe 8 or 9? Anyway, it slipped, and splashed down in front of a bench about five feet out. I dont want to talk about it but I'd love the disc back. Name and number on it. $5 paypal for any hardworking scuba dude.

LOST - 5X JK Champ Valkyrie, semi-opaque bright yellow.
Actually, I know exactly where it is... hole 10, about 15' right of pin and about 4-5' from bank (if looking from "northern,middle-of-path" teepad; and not the "close-to-road/gate" teepad) .
Cant remember if I put my # in it, but if I did, it would be old/defunct...
Longshot, I know, but if anyone on here happens across it, I will reward you with sweet plastic, beer and a high-five!
This was one of my main drivers that I had worked in perfectly, so I'd love to hook somebody up if found.
