I'm camping out, back by hole 4, with the regular bunch. Ya know, ol' Buster is an ok guy, a few demons to battle but all in all he's ok. I can't believe I have wireless connection back here. Can somebody bring me a cup of coffee in the morning? :cool2:

So, did any of the local media pick up on this? The Columbian or anything? I wanted to go watch, maybe freelance an article to send off to them if they didn't have coverage of it, but had a Birthday Party to go to, and too many responsibilities tomorrow @ Church.

Man what a fun day, thanks Ryan and Steve for throwing a super fun event! I have not had this much fun at an event in a long time.

What is up with the Recreational Player shooting -9 for the day, must be an easy course for him!

I heard all this talk of CTPs... I'm guessing that'll be tomorrow, correct?

So far it's been a great tournament! Although I only made about 40% of my putts around the circle, I'm satisfied with my results so far. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

Not all of the placings are showing up correctly. For instance, Brice won and it shows him as tied for 1st, same with Andrew Buckner & Rick Spangler. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can, probably some time tomorrow.

What a great Tourney! Thanks to Ryan and Steve for running this and thanks to all the volunteers who helped out!

A BIG shout out to John & Julie Gorman for letting Spencer & I crash at your pad! LOVE YOUR CATS!!! :D

Great to meet Ol' Bob & Myk. Better luck next time trying to bet my Boy! You guys need more smack talk to get in his head!!!! :nahnah:

And yes, I was the rec guy who shot -9 the first day. It was an easy course for me, short, technical just like my home course NAD. But Mike didn't let me win easy, it was a lot of fun!

Thanks All! See ya in August!!!

Results are up at Disc Golf Scene (http://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/2009_Bad_Monkey_Open). If you have a DGScene account and it's not linking to your scores, all I need is your email address and all should be well.

If anyone has any fotos from the event that they would be willing to share, you can email them to discgolf [at] ryangwillim.com. I'll add them to the DGScene page and give the fotographer credit below the each foto!

The great thing about playing according to your rating is that these problems take care of themselves. Look at theround ratings - I'm guessing his rating will bump him into the Intermediate range as soon as the next update comes out.

Wow. That tourney was AMAZING! For being my first PDGA tournament experience, I was really impressed. Everything ran on time, the weather was beautiful, and the course was in great shape. There were great sponsors and the prizes were sweet. So many thanks to everyone who had a hand in this event. My wife, her son, and I will try to make any other events out there, because all three of us had so much fun!

Obviously we will be stopping by Next Adventure the next time we are in Portland, and I will be stopping by By The Bottle in the near future, too (and probably many times after that). We swung by the DQ on the way back to town, and hopefully I can stop by Bad Monkey in the near future, too.

Thanks again, guys, we had so much fun!

Thanks, anyway. At laest I can walk away saying I shot my best rated round ever. Of course, I followed that by two of my worst but I know what I need to work on over the next two weeks and that was really the goal of the weekend for me.

Thanks again for a fun event.

It was a great event. I enjoyed myself very much, though it would have been nice to have someone else playing in the woman's rec division so I could have stayed there. My son also had a great time and was very happy to get his most improved award. That first round was really hard on him and we appreciate all the encourgement he got.

Thank you again.
