Oh, no, Mr. Elliott, what happened, I sent you a text alerting you to registration being open, I will just assume you are on the inside track...?
Hey, TDs: I bet you already answered this before, so I apologize in advance, but I did look around a little bit, and cannot find:
What are the field limits for the BSF 2009? How many ams, how many pros? Is it 144 each? or is it a different number, due to staggered start? Thanks!
Maybe he MOVED up and will be on the other list? No more Sandy McBagger? Whas up wit dat?

I don't believe name calling is warranted here. Hey Yose - is this because I am from Eugene that I have to deal with this outrageous obscenity and moral turpitude?
I personally get a lot of my information by reading the posts in a thread and by checking the web pages where the information I want will be posted. :seeya:
Anyway, you are late, my prediction was for over 24 hours ago!

We are pleased to announce The Hampton Inn has stepped to be the host hotel for the 2009 Beaver State Fling.
Host Hotel Details (http://www.beaverstatefling.com/2009/lodging)
This really is shaping up to be the best Beaver State Fling to date.
Thank you to everyone who signed up. You helped us crush all previous registration records. It looks like we sold out 144 AM slots in under 3 hours and all 144 Pro slots in around 48 hours... or something like that anyway. :D

Hello everyone and good evening,
I just got home after another late night with work and BSF meetings. Jeff and I met with KEEN tonight and we are cooking up some amazing stuff for the Beaver State Fling. I don't want to spoil the surprises but just know that this is going to be one amazing event for everyone involved.
On a sad note, I am sorry the Pro players list is not posted yet, I tried to post the list that I got from Todd Breiner today but I found out that I nor Jeff have the password for the PDGA website to access the NT event information. We only have the A-Tier password, we sent an email off to the PDGA and I am sure they will resolve it tomorrow.
Days are busy lately so if you really need to get a hold of me please send me an email through the Beaver State Fling website Contact (http://www.beaverstatefling.com/2009/contact)
If you really want to help us out please consider buying a fundraiser Disc with cool art by our Local Disc Golf Artist Kel Carver. We are selling: Glow Eagles, Glow Teebirds, Glow Firebirds, Glow Orcs, Glow Destroyers, Champion Gators, Star Whippets and Ontario Rocs. The Rocs are $10.00 and the others are $20. If you purchase 5 or more Glow or Champion discs you get $2.00 off each disc!

I have a paypal account that I could use to handle this transaction, but I'd need to make sure I have the discs you are looking for. Let's take this to PM and work out the details.
The same goes for anyone else who would like to buy some, but can't make it down to Portland.

Good thing Ghost groups are easier to work in, with tee times!
Flash
April 4th, 2009, 11:52 PM
We can fit 80 to a side with tee times, but with a shotgun start we can only do 72 to a side. Due to a couple of long holes on the course we can easily fit the extra two groups per side. Speed of play is always a question that needs to be asked, and it is my job to load the course correctly so that we can meet our round times.

I'm fron NorCal and i'm in... Californians are SLOWWW when it comes to registration... The Masters Cup ain't even full yet and it's been up for like 2 or 3 weeks at least... "you snooze, you lose".. heh..
And speaking of the open fields, the Mens and Womens Open is going to be totally awesome to watch. I hope Nikko and Gregg tear it up, watching parts of Gregg's -12 final round last year was absolutely SICK!

The MAIN issue is that the PDGA dropped the "rule" that holders of the "Tour Card" have spots saved until a certain date.
THAT change WAS NEVER published :headbang:
So MOST were unaware of the change in "policy"...........:waaah:

He considers Grass Valley one of his favorites and I don't think that that course holds a candle to our gem in Milo.

If steve yang can take 20 months to do Rose City Open 2007... I think i'll take my sweet time... I mean Jennifer from New York still working on BSF 07... Gosh, these guys making me look gooood hehehe... maybe i'll work on it tonight.. hmmm... wow that putt by nate doss was sweet...
i doubt that.
are you going to film at all again this year? i might try to film some ams when i'm not playing. wouldn't it be fun to collaborate a little bit? what if we had a few people filming...:chinscratch:

I am able to collaborate any pics/video done thru SD card on a digital camera with at least 7.0 Megapixels and if you have a usb cable to download to my laptop I can do it all. Steve did say he would download to my laptop at BSF last year and he "forgot" his cable so we couldn't do it... no problem... I film every tournament I go to... I am even going to buy more SD cards and batteries. My camera isn't the BOMB, but it does get it pretty clear even if youtube seriously makes my camera quality look bad, it looks awesome on my laptop. A 1GB SD card on my camera runs for about 25 minutes of memory. 4GB is like 80-90 minutes, crazy.... most video cameras are not compatible with easy downloading and making videos, unless get the more expensive kind... what am i doing, i'm running my mouth here... i'm on a break from doing taxes, i think i had a brain fart on my 8891 form or whatever that was...
The final 9 for the Deaf national championship last year was done on two cameras, almost exact same model, only mine has image stability and theirs didnt... I'll be there friday morning before the Pros start hopefully.....

Why Derek didnt step up and get his name in, we will never know... 9 of the top 12 men are gonna be in town, Nikko is gonna crush the long game and putting is gonna be on fire by alot of pros... but that is not my fantasy pick...

Bob, I have good news and bad news....
The good news is that even us younger guys, 30+ years younger, pissed our pants at least once or twice with something related to BSF in the last two weeks.... So its normal...
The bad news is there arent any washers or dryers near Milo during BSF so bring diapers, piles of clothes to change into quickly and often, cuz ya gonna go many times if you watch the pros for 4 rounds....
And to another topic, the St. Patrick's Classic video part 2 will be up in a few hours... then working on the memorial... I do like to hear compliments, I'm an extrinsic type of person, i like my extrinsic motiviation....:biggrin2::angel::posting::yay:

Derek Billings did sign up but is on the wait list as are quite a few other Pro's who want to get in and have expressed so in written form many times to Jeff and myself. If we had more room we have enough requests to fill another 8 holes as of the 6th of April, but that doesn't even include the players across the nation who have no idea the event is even full yet. Daily we get a few emails asking if there is a wait list and if there is any way they can get in. Most are blown away by the fact that an NT would fill this far out in advanced while the two NT events before it are only half full.
Hey any one remember this video!

Depends on who you talk to. She and Theo Pozzy teamed up to make the DVD. Theo made some statement about how she had all the footage and whatnot and he said something about being out $3000 or so (I think, it's been a while). She just kind of went MIA though...I emailed her several times and never heard back, and that seems to be everyone else's experience as well. One guy who sort of knew her (she's in NY) insisted that she was a stand-up chick, and said something about how the story he heard was that the blame was on Theo's side of things. I read something later about her going through some sort of rough times in her personal life--nothing I really wanted to pry into. So yeah, it's still kind of a mystery, but the end result is that it sucks any way you look at it. She did an awesome job with the Skylands Classic DVD, and the BSF one looked to be the most promising disc golf DVD to date.

I recall that she stiffed some others, too. It seems that the BSF DVD wasn't the only one that failed to materialize. I don't recall the details, and a quick google search didn't show me anything (about half the pages are blocked by my firewall).

yep, i been trying to get ahold of her to just have her send me what she can, including MY footage that I took with a nice video camera i would think but no success... I understand people going thru rough times but can delegate the videos to someone else like us who can do some work, DGO, me, Steve Yang etc...

Make sure that you get your signed agreements from the TD so that you can use that footage.
According to the NT agreement, ALL Video & Photos are property of the HOST & the PDGA. You can find the details here...

Section 6.3

REALLLLYYYY?? so you think I'll get an angry email once the memorial video is posted?? What should I do? JEFF and MIKEEEEE... drop in a comment about this?If you started selling a Memorial DVD you will definitely get an angry e-mail. Posting casual video shots has been OK in the past but the PDGA and TD have the right to make you pull down the footage. The thinking behind this is that some NTs produce videos for fund raisers and any private videos could cut into that profit margin. Also, as the Tour becomes larger (with potentially televised competitions) the framework needs to be in place to control the various video rights for the event.

I doubt I will ever get into selling DVD's, not my style... They have had what... 6 weeks since the memorial and still no footage... Time is money, or time is Jen... forgot how it goes... The memorial clips will go out soon... I hope they do contact me, maybe they will finally listen and start captioning their videos... AVERY JENKINS has made sure his producer knows he wants his upcoming family documentary video to be captioned. Props to the brother...

I'd like to see your fundraisers.
