View Full Version : THE BRAWL II Saturday, March 2nd BYOP @ Milo McIver 36 Hole Layout!

Nate Sexton
January 23rd, 2013, 01:01 PM
The Brawl is back Saturday March, 2nd on the legendary Beaver State Fling layout. This is a can't miss bring your own partner doubles event on two of the best disc golf courses in the world!

All 36 holes of the BSF East and West courses will be in for this event as we will again run it beside the NW Collegiate Invitational hosted by the Oregon State University Disc Golf Club. The best collegiate disc golf teams on the west coast will be competing for two invitations to the National Championships.

The Brawl II will be a fundrasier for the OSU disc golf club again as $20 of each team's entry fee will go to helping the club pay for a return trip to the Nationals. All other entry money will go directly to payout with no TD fees or supply fees withheld. All the park reservation fees will be paid by the OSU disc golf club.

Registration will go live in the next day or so on www.4discgolf.com so please come out and play some best shot doubles on some of the toughest courses around and support collegiate disc golf! Lunch will be available for purchase at tournament central.

Entry Fees

Open: $80
Masters: $70
Adv/Adv Masters/Adv Women: $60
Mixed (M/F): $50
Intermediate: $50
Recreational: $40

36 team maximum! Get signed up soon to reserve your spot and get a chance to play the rarely seen BSF layout with a partner there to help everytime you throw a bad shot!

Thanks for reading and please spread the word we are counting on a nice showing from the Portland DG community!

how about camping anyone?

Nearest camping is within the park, about a mile away.

I just checked and the campground appears to be full that weekend. You may want to check back frequently because spots tend to open back up.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it's not even open during that time...not till mid march. the "x" means not available, an "R" would be reserved already...bummer...maybe I'm wrong...

Can anyone suggest a reasonable motel/hotel nearby to stay at for this? We are trying to get a few of us to make this but need a place to stay. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have been to Milo before and know there is nothing RIGHT there but somewhere within 15-20 minutes would be great.

Sign-ups are starting to come in a little faster now and The Brawl II is over 1/3rd full! We will have some awesome prizes on hand for the Ams from Innova and Discraft along with some CTP challenges. Get signed up soon to reserve your spot and play the best 36 holes anywhere!

Not sure if there are any Motel/Hotels in Estacada but that would be the closest town to Milo.

If you are coming from the north. Maybe looking for a place in the Sandy/Boring area to stay. Wouldn't be a real long drive back and forth.

My understanding is that The Brawl II is taking place on the opposite course as the sanctioned event.

So... You're safe. Bring the beer.

Jeff is correct. The Brawl II is only Saturday and is not a PDGA event. It will be run in concert with the NW Collegiate Invitational. While they are on the East course we will be on the West and vice versa.

So is any of the courses on McIver open to the public this Saturday? I'm coming down to Portland from the north for a non-disc golf matter, and hoped to get in a round at Mciver whenever I can. Highly doubtful I would be able to be there at 9am, or stay the whole day for this event.

Is the course close on sunday too? I thought the Northwest Collegiate Invitational is the only thing happening on Sunday. Won't there only be a few holes occupied? A group of us is heading from Spokane, and need to figure it out before we head out.

theres other courses in the area that arent involved in the tourneys.
